What do you think calafiori’s future role looks like with rumors of Arsenal targeting LB/LCBs? I think he’s a really exciting player, but I have a hard time imagining how we’ll use him.

Doue’s behind the back flick where Myles kept his body in front and got fouled was one of the best moments of the match for me. Incredible to watch from both of them.

Yep that’s what I meant. I agree it’s harsh criticism, but I think that’s where it went wrong.

I think the touch is directly under him too much. He wants it out on his right for an Henry finish but it’s too tight to him.
comment in response to post
I think the shot was fine given where it was lined up. I have a bit more of an issue with the touch before the shot. It’s too central and should be farther to his right IMO

Do the simulations assume each match is an independent event or does it capture “form” in some sense? In other words, could it be underrating probability of outlier outcomes, particularly L tail, because an injury in the 1st game would make subsequent losses/draws more likely?

Most people are dragging you for this but I want to know I think this skeet is beautiful and you should never stop posting more things like this.
comment in response to post
Why would probability not be helpful in drawing conclusions here?

Well we know that false accusations are exceedingly rare and there are multiple women accusing him of misconduct. I don’t think anyone on the outside can KNOW he did these things, but it’s perfectly reasonable to say it is very likely he did.

I’m friends with quite a few lawyers and one of the most important things they’ve taught me is that courts are not the fair systems that find objective truths many people believe them to be but often become arenas that provide institutional backing to the party that has deeper pockets.

The second half was better, but if that’s the best we’re getting from him I’m worried. He did well for the Saka goal but nothing special, I felt like there were a lot of opportunities to carry that he can’t take advantage of, below expectation shot when 1v1 in the box. I hope he proves me wrong

I too have to tune out at halftime. This sucks.

Especially because it’s likely to open up a slot for Chelsea/Villa/Newcastle

We need to bring broadcasting jobs back into this country

This season has been so much better but I’m a bit worried about the finale. They have so many story lines to wrap up - Rand’s doesn’t feel that close to done, the Tanchino crew still have a lot to do, Liandrin and Moghedien are still up to no good etc

Flawless performance. So much aggression without any mistakes.

I’m curious how much you believe the Gyokeres reporting. It’s coming from quality journos, but for some reason it doesn’t feel like the right fit to me (could be copium). I do wonder if Berta is more likely to place stories in the media strategically than edu.

That was late in the game too if I’m remembering right. Nobody would fault him for sending it into Real’s half

Kiwior gave him a really bouncy back pass. In my head I was hoping for him to get his clearance right but instead he played a left-footed pass out to Kiwior again. He was incredible

I feel like we owe west ham another ~50m
comment in response to post
He’s been the best player on the pitch and we’re playing Real Madrid
comment in response to post
Genuinely can’t describe how impressive his play is for an 18 year old.

This was a college football ref

People are so much more likely to comment if they have a complaint than if they think something is good work. I’m confident most people understand what you’re saying and appreciate your work. It’s frustrating and underserved that a good chunk of what you see is negative.

If it’s all the system, why not put me in there and save the wages?
comment in response to post
I sure hope a ~65m ST would outperform someone with a handful of career games at ST. I don’t think that’s the best way to judge potential signings though.

I’ve seen a couple people mention his wife’s due date is around now. Hopefully that’s the reason for his absence.

Interesting to me it thinks there’s a bigger chance we win the league than miss out on top 4 when it doesn’t feel that way. I guess missing top 4 requires anomalous performances from multiple teams while the title requires only Liverpool and Arsenal have weird end of seasons?

I’m not convinced this was violent conduct. Don’t understand the Cucu handball non call though.
comment in response to post
Giving the throw to the other team makes more sense to me if they feel a need to punish this.
comment in response to post
It was from one of his few overlaps this game. I think that was key to it working.
comment in response to post
That’s interesting. Weird to make the graphic before the 200th game though.

Nice for whoever made this to give Arteta a + .3% bonus

One more reason the summer can’t come soon enough for Arsenal.

I’d say it’s soft because the way he milks the contact, but I agree with your overall point that it’s a pen.
comment in response to post
Think it’s a pen unfortunately. It’s soft but definitely clumsy

What do you hope we get out of the rest of the PL season? How can we use it to maximize our chances in 25-26?
comment in response to post
Almost anytime there are global emergencies requiring medical care, Cuba sends planes full of doctors to the affected area to help.
comment in response to post
You think the team is good? Then how do you explain them trying to improve?
comment in response to post
I’d imagine this is because of the space you two fill in the Arsenal fan base. I think you’re both smart and rational fans and I’d guess you interact with the types of Arsenal fans who would be annoying in Liverpool fan mentions.

I’m pretty confident Gabriel got a call to leave it. I’d be very curious to know who it came from.
comment in response to post
There was definitely a call from someone.

Big changes in the snow direction or no snow direction?
comment in response to post
Ya if this is what it looks like against Leicester…
comment in response to post
I mostly agree with your position that this is largely awful luck rather than something the team did wrong, but I do wonder if distance covered is the more predictive of an injury than minutes or if I’m overfitting to explain this particular injury.

Adam isn’t talking about Rohan’s credibility. He’s saying Rohan is using a straw man argument and that nobody credible said what Rohan is saying people said.
comment in response to post
I’m trying to keep my hopes for miles in check but he’s making it increasingly hard.
comment in response to post
I’m not sure you get any ~except sesko~ at these prices. Are there alternatives you’d prefer that are likely attainable in the summer?
comment in response to post
Roughly same price as sesko in the summer. I don’t think the increase in title/CL odds for this season are worth the drop in long term trophy odds.

The shot radar is cracking me up. I can’t remember any shots from him other than the butt goal and that fits with the radar.
