*but it’s unlikely….*

The Telegraph piece basically reads like PR for NUFC. (“We won’t overpay, if we get one we may drop the other so hurry up and sell”.) Nothing wrong with NUFC trying or bits unlikely to have an affect and reflects poorly on the Telegrah.

Oh come on. You get on any bus or train these days and all you hear is people saying: "Did you see the new report from the Centre for Ripe Proposals.". It's the only topic of conversation for most of us.

They're apparently happy to crash their tourist industry to trhy and keep dissent away. Madness.

This is just EXACTLY what philosophers ought to look like. Nice one Bob.

Really good newsletter - thanks. There's so much swirl on social that this is a good guide to who's saying what and therefore how seriously to treat it.

😀She's have to be head of department, no way anyone's topping that

You mean bag one?

Really hope we loan him rather than sell him. (Or if we have to sell him, insert a massive sell-on clause). As this piece says, the force is strong in this one and that kind of ability doesn't just wither away.

😆(I like to think they were all geography teachers)

At school our lad pointed out they should hire a teacher called Mr Hilliest. They already had a Mr Hill and a Mr Hillier.

Certainly worked for Jack Lemmon

Think this overlooks the dynamic with business rates. Central London boroughs can set CT way lower than counties with comparatively few large businesses. So in places the well off pay low council tax despite huge value of their homes.

I think Travis Bickle won this competition some time ago

You’re saying there’s a hole in this story?

"Chief Constable, there's rioting and turmoil on the streets of Paris. No European city is safe." "Oh aye? Better get us some Mini Coopers then."

Often wondered how they grow tobacco in what is, effectively, rural Surrey.

I guess it depends if you think his reason for joining is to broaden debate or to stoke division. Most people on the far-right seem primarily motivated by trying to destroy things others value, rather than holding any genuine beliefs.

Brighton & Hove Albion Again, clean and simple, avoids the pitfalls, and comes out nicely. Can't go wrong. Although the months do look like a bit like buttons, and you gotta give opponents their own column too. So close. 7/10

Oh 👍 thanks for reminding me.

Let’s email them and ask them to do that?

Thank you. Yes it’s surely possible for the telly to work this out within a couple of weeks. They’ll have had the fixtures under embargo for a couple of days already anyway.

Roughly when do they decide on tv moves? Do we even know? This one feels like a must.

The funny thing is it suits me to have a bit less social media in my life anyway. I look at some of the brain rot on e.g. TikTok and realise I need to deliberately ration how much time I allow for it. Quality of life issue.

Mr Brownlow first into a tumbril I’d suggest

Fair enough, I’ve only seen you ever play 433 under Howe but you’d know better than me. Pretty sure JP is leaving so if you did want him it could appeal to him no doubt.
comment in response to post
That's interesting - he'd definitely fit better into those systems I think. (And he's not terrible out wide, he's just a narrow wide player if that makes sense). Plus Howe seems to get the best out of players so if he wants him and will pay around £60m I guess it will happen.
comment in response to post
Yes I agree. But I think Joao won’t therefore be a regular starter, more understudy/alternative to Isak. Can’t imagine he’d be happy with that.

*play* 433
comment in response to post
Strange isn’t it? They always okay 433 so why do they need a 10? He can sort of play off the left but not in their system u wouldn’t have thought. (Unless Howe wants to become more flexible with their tactics).

Ah, I will take a look! I’m sure the fault is in me, everyone else appreciates old HJ. I also live not far from Rye so I should maybe check out his former home.
