We also examined type of content: statistical vs. generic info. Neither form of presentation interacted with the information source on credibility. Why does this matter? Ppl get info from various sources, and experts/science are increasingly being discounted. Context, issue, etc likely matters! 4/4

But, when we looked at the effect of celebrities vs. experts on a social issue, in this case police reform, we found that neither source impacted behavioral intentions to support police reform. 3/4

We found that the traditional expert was more influential at increasing credibility, in turn reducing counterarguing, and resulting in an overall increase in intentions to obtain a covid vaccine booster. 2/4
