Oh fucking shit. This is so scary it literally made me stop breathing for a bit. If transmission via dried feces works in mammals the way it does in birds (see link), then mice are a VERY EFFECTIVE vector for spreading this directly into human habitated areas (www.ctvnews.ca/health/artic...)

Once a week, I make fresh food for the dogs to add to their kibble. Mealtimes include a lot of dancing. At *least* once a week, the little monsters make me wonder why I go to so much trouble for them. Like today, when Penelope got me up at 1:30, and again at 4:30, to go out bc of tummy trouble.

The Trump Administration's list of censored scientific terms that get NSF grant proposals flagged contains "women” and “female”, but no mention of “men” or “male.” There is “black” and “indigenous” on this list, but no “white.” The only identity not censored is mine. youtu.be/dHXbpj1Z3UU

We need to stop referring to Muskie's goof troop as "children." AFAIK, they are all legal adults, and should be prosecuted as such. 12yo Black boys aren't men, 20yo white boys aren't kids.

I admit to cynicism. I've been like this since I was ten or so, when the good people of my small town showed me who they really were in their nice Sunday clothes.
