Genuinely asking: does it improve after the pilot? I watched it, and my first impression was that the show was very male gaze-y/didn't depict the women as three-dimensional people, and the dialogue was that bad Sorkin imitation that we saw a lot in the 2010s.

Even when they're ghostwritten (which 99% of them are) the premises are always awful. I'll never forget Madonna's picture book, which gave the main character her daughter's name, and the "plot" was basically "All the girls at school hated Lourdes because she was so amazing and beautiful." 🙄
