I fancied a chilled evening so I finally bought a copy of Tiny Glade and I think I'm in love. It's absolutely adorable and is likely to steal a lot of hours of my life for the foreseeable future. Most lovely thing: If you disturb a sheep they're catapulted into the air and parachute gently back down

Hi, just a reminder that when you use Libro.fm for your audiobooks, you support independent bookshops vs. large corporations that drive them out of business. We also pay taxes. And so do indie bookshops.

I finally got around to watching Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem. Probably the best TMNT movie since the first one. Great fun and a gorgeous visual style. I'd love to know how they did it.

Having watched the recent Apple TV adaptation, I'm reading Asimov's Foundation again and whilst I 'bounced off of it' thirty years ago, now I'm finding it utterly compelling. The fun thing is, despite all characters being referred to as 'he', I'm picturing them as their screen versions instead. :)

Repost with the first album you bought with your own money.

The wonderful people at @stimbot5000.bsky.social reviewed the Adventures of #LutherArkwright and got in touch with me to see if I could hook them up to interview Bryan on the podcast, and they were kind enough to namecheck me for helping them out! Check it out at www.youtube.com/watch?v=uBhx...

Want to know what Chain of Command 2 has to offer? In this exclusive video, I had a chat with Rich all about the new aspects of the second edition of CoC, we talked about how history shapes the rules, what stuff to expect and how the rules were developed over the past few years youtu.be/w8AyZehp3ys

Has to be this for me and I mean this version. Gives me chills every time. Instantly brings back a flood of memories and reminds me of what I used to love about the show. www.youtube.com/watch?v=JakZ...

'Wednesday.', wrote Mr Kipling, 'Nearly fucking there.'

Having talked about it the other day, I'm watching the anime, Planetes again and it's every bit as good as I remember it. Episode 4, Lunar Flying Squirrels is hard work but otherwise it's a fabulous imagining of the day to day operations of an orbital society.

The conclusion of every Marple: "Oh no, Inspector. You see, Mr Smith here is actually the illegitimate son of the late Earl who, having made sure that the butler saw him get off the train at Edinburgh, roller skated back here, committed the murder and then faked his own death before he was missed.'

I've noticed an unsettling trend on Facebook in the last couple of weeks. I've seen at least three posts that essentially say, 'look at this fun or amazing thing in Russia'. Coincidence or paranoia, maybe, but I've never noticed it before.

What is it with anime characters getting disproportionately angry with each other? Something to do with exaggerated emotions to compensate for the lack of subtlety in the animation, maybe?
