Really enjoying The Cleaner with Greg Davies on iPlayer. It's packed full of cracking lines but one that spoke to me was, 'My job pays me enough to buy the things I need with some left over to give me a hangover every weekend.' I don't drink enough to get hungover but otherwise * chef's kiss *

Didn't we do this one already?

Play-acting conversations with NPCs.

'Please tell us why you wish to switch back to Google Assistant from Gemini.' Fuck AI.

I'm catching up with some TV. Watching The Great on More 4. It's absolutely brilliant but bloody hell, the adverts! By the time they finally finish, I've forgotten what I'm watching.

Christ on a bike! If it's going to be 500 degrees it could at least have the decency to be sunny. Sat on Reading University campus and it's like a Turkish Sauna.

The reception to our Summer of Resistance has been excellent, thank you! Many folk have found us through this and don't know that we already make a whole bunch of WW2 ladies, lots of anti fascists! Here is Lyudmila Pavlichenko! Photo by Annie Norman, backdrop by @handiworkgames.bsky.social

The first game I designed was a text adventure on the Commodore 64 in 1984 called Dragon's Folly. I didn't complete it because I ran out of memory. I was proud of it but it was shit. This is why I'm not a game designer.

Finally watched Year of the Rabbit on Netflix. An 80's US buddy cop show set in Victorian London. Matt Berry does Matt Berry and it's utterly filthy, foul-mouthed and debauched and I loved it. Shame there were no more. Thanks for the recommend, @squadronuk.bsky.social

@evenpickier.bsky.social Here's one end. Just keep clicking 😁

The ten adventures thing: Pffff whatever. The 'What is common knowledge in your field but shocks outsiders?' thread is an absolutely fascinating rabbit hole.

😂
