I don't think he's Orthodox. He grew up in a Reform congregation, which is part of the liberalism he rejects. But I think he's non-practicing. (Nevertheless, he violates that precept.)

His father was born in 1932, yet managed to not be a sex pest. Too bad character isn't a hereditary trait.

Yeah, I’m sure that was a totally accidental and not-at-all racist slip of the tongue. 🙄

I don’t trust his statements on Israel, but given that the mayor of NYC has no influence on foreign policy, I don’t think it’s a reason not to rank him in this election. I think his cross-endorsement with Lander is brilliant, and I hope it works. Cuomo should crawl back under a rock in Westchester!

That reminds me of when my Dad (z"l) and I saw a preview for the first "Fast and the Furious" movie. We sat through it, and then I leaned over and whispered, "They have to call it that because they couldn't call it Cars, Guns, Tits and Ass!"

People like Boelter (the New Apostolic Reformation movement) don't just believe Democrats aren't people. They believe Democrats are *literally* demons!

It's an absolutely fair connection. Bondi and Patel are in their positions so they can thwart investigations of domestic (white Christian) terrorists. Read Money, Lies, and God by @katherinestewart.bsky.social if you want to get the big picture.

Senator Warren, I'm a constituent and my concern is that DOGE was successful in 1) stealing private data and 2) crippling Federal agencies. How are you going to respond to those issues?

I felt like their ending on "I am not throwing away my shot!" was a way of saying "Don't despair; don't give up."

(1/2) I was there for Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade this week. The fire alarm went off in the middle of the movie! Everyone just got up and calmly walked toward the exits, then stayed outside until the fire department let us back in, then returned to their seats without conflict.
