My weirdbook keeps getting weirder. I'm keeping with my promise to share pages.

A small emergency (we're okay) kept me from sharing cranes for a few days, but I was still folding them.

I'm really thankful for the people in my life who pull me back into the physical world when I've spent too much time arguing with myself about my writing.

Today's cranes.

One good thing coming out of how AI is being used so horrible is that I feel better about my own work. Music, art, writing...yes, I'm always working to build skill and improve. But every imperfect thing was done by me. It's all a story of how a living person made this.

700 cranes today! 300 more to go.

It was a hard day. The lightning tonight is like a promise dancing across the sky. "It will rain again. There will be water. You'll keep growing."

The day filled with anxiety for me, so now I'm passing around crocheted baby manta rays. Making stuff soothes me. The blue one's name is Raymond.

Happy *quiet, chill* Pride.

Today's cranes. It'll just be a couple more days and we'll be up to 700.

This makes me so happy because I LOVE the Tylosaurus! I have a Tylosaurus plushie, a fossilized Tylosaurus tooth, and I did a watercolor painting once!

Happy Pride! Please read a book by a trans author, and then read another and another and another, don't stop There is a whole dingdang list here, please click to open replies of books you're intrigued by, go find them, buy them and then reply, I bought it! can you post the link to your newsletter?

Excited about this trans and nonbinary cast "Twelfth Night"! It's going to be livestreamed, so you can get a ticket to watch from home. gayety.com/ian-mckellen...

I'm still open for tarot readings!

Hi, I'm Neal! I am a fantasy sculptor of dragons, animals, and characters. You can find my work in my online shop where I maintain my own line of resin figures. I am also available for custom work. 🐉 Portfolio : cara.app/verdantsculpts/portfolio 🛒 Shop/Commissions : VerdantSculpts.com

So, this Unbound/Boundless fiasco. I was going to be polite about it, but after this morning’s email: no

A ruby-throated hummingbird just visited my office window. How am I supposed to concentrate on anything in a world so ridiculously full of magic?

The best antidote to writer insecurity is looking up your all-time favorite books on Goodreads and reading the 1-star reviews.

Folding the cranes is always peaceful. It also encourages me to take a break from writing. Let my mind float for a while.

It's my birthday today 🎈✨ and I hear that on this day I can ask for my art to get reposts and likes to celebrate 💕✨

I repotted the tomatoes today because it's the anniversary of my dad's death and he always gave me advice on tomatoes. It started raining before I could go out and water them. I can almost hear him say, again, "I saw the tomatoes needed water, so I took care of it for you."

It was time to move the cherry tomato plant to a bigger pot.

"In 1985, 20th Century Fox tried to convince audiences to go to the theater and see a tender story of connection between an all-American fighter pilot and a pregnant nonbinary enemy combatant..." That was Enemy Mine–and it deserves to be remembered: reactormag.com/enemy-mine-i...

One of them learned to read tarot because he thought he bought cards for the TCG his nephew was into, but it was actually an anime tarot deck.

I've spent a lot of today debating with myself about whether I should put out a guide on dice divination, a collection of short stories, or a collection of poetry. Some part of my mind spoke up and said, "Do them ALL! Just not all at once."

I'm taking @bookspotlight.bsky.social 's advice and have things set up with Itch. Now I have to decide what to put out there first! I write a variety of things.

Four cranes today brings things back to a round number. We're at 670.

An extra crane today brings the total to a number in honor of some of the most loving and supportive people in my life.

Winter is over and my hands can play stringed instruments again. They have been awakened! Sorry...I'm supposed to say they've been tuned. Okay, but "awakened" probably is more accurate for the banjo.

What goes on in that creative brain of yours?

My spouse hates the song "Margaritaville". Unless I'm playing it on my ukulele. They don't really recognize it without the lyrics (I don't sing when I play), and their feet automatically move with the music. It gives me joy that it becomes a different experience for them.

655 cranes in, I finally felt confident enough to use the dip pen and fancy inks!

I needed a little rest after the bike ride, but I did not forget today's cranes!

I've really been working on talking myself out of the fear of my writing not being good enough. Reminding myself that some people might not like it, but other people could love it! Now I'm kind of at the "it will be a win because a bot didn't write it" point.

Haven't ridden a bicycle in 10 years until today. My legs are currently two very large overcooked noodles.

My little cherry tomato plants have continued to grow and will need to be moved into individual pots soon.

We are democratizing art. No longer will you have to pay someone who owns a data center just to generate pictures. With a pencil and notepad that costs less than a dollar, you too can create Artisanal Imagery.

Reminder that I am temporarily open for tarot readings again! We need to get our gas bill managed since they raised the rates. But it means anyone who has wanted a reading from me has the chance again!
