With the hit single “Punk Rock Unicorn."

It’s funny and a little surprising that there’s no mention of that original group anywhere on Wikipedia/Marvel Fandom. You’d think someone would have noticed before now and added a note...

I first thought it was a frog mouse when I looked at the picture, until I noticed the curly cord coming off of it (and then the text that said “phone”…)

That’s what I came here to say. I never realized there was a team by that name in the Marvel Comics before the Busiek/Bagley book.

That Jawa is freaking me out...

Whenever there’s a giant letter starting each sentence, my brain always checks for an acrostic first. It’s possible Obfggl is related to J’onn J’onnz, (Mars Bar…Martian Manhunter…) but I’m probably reading too much into it.

So, how tired were you of drawing circles when your New Warriors run ended?

When you’re drawing…always.

Shame it took so long for that ceiling to be broken, but well done doing so...

I have this theory that you and @bronzeagebabies.bsky.social are actually the same person, and you occasionally make fun of yourself for engagement...

At least she doesn’t say two of them are old.

Sad, but completely understandable, and recommended to any other potential overseas visitors.

I guess it’s true...Everybody poops.

From the tour I took of Marvel not too many years after this (I believe 1998), I’m betting that the great majority of men sitting in the actual bullpen were called in specifically to be there and were not usually seen in the office.

Damn. I thought I had gotten it. What if I say they’re all from “The British Isles”? (minus my two original exceptions)

Ireland and Scotland are both part of Great Britain, so while they aren’t English, they are still technically British.

That would at least eliminate Barry Nelson and George Lazenby.

Oh, well, then I’d watch about a season and a half of that and give up...

Now I want “Dead Dad Quest,” the TV show.

I’ll take “Images I can hear” for $1000, Alex.
comment in response to post
Nope. Like I said…Perfect.
comment in response to post
The jagged, poorly drawn word balloon pushes it over the line from “Dumb” to “Perfect."

Hey, Christopher Priest books selling well is always a good thing...

Do Wrath of Khan next for the Trifecta!

I feel the same way on the Astro City Confession TPB, and his intro there.

So glad to hear everything turned out okay. I know the pain of losing a pet to disappearance. (Although, people always laugh when I tell them my pet tortoise ran away)

Ah, “Noah’s Arc.” That’s different from what I was expecting (I was braced for another CGI bible movie that somehow misspelled “Ark”).

I hope to live long enough to see St. Eevie of Martine.

The Empire Strikes Back would also like a word.

They have a very brief moment of it in one of the trailers, and it looks good. It’s probably the effect that’s going through the most iterations to make sure they get it right, so I can understand them waiting until the final moment to show it.

Hey! I’m Gen X, not millennial...

Thank you! Much appreciated.

I mean, if I’m honest, that’s probably true of me too (especially the “attractive” part), but it is how I imagine myself...

When I was younger, I was drawn by Mark Bagley. Now, I’m drawn by Wayne Boring. (Both excellent artists, but they draw humans in very different shapes)

I hear he’s busy Star Trekkin across the Universe.

Please, tell me more…preferably about his feet.

At the very end of the show, when Val recruits him, she says “We won’t need a Captain America. We’ll need…a U.S. Agent."

Our car got attacked by an ostrich there. (Back when it was Lion Country Safari, although it’d be a much more interesting story if not…)
comment in response to post
Yes, but that was just a story being told by Gonzo/Dickens, and thus non-canon to their actual relationship.
comment in response to post
Wasn’t it always? It’s an abusive relationship that Kermit should hop from as fast as his frog legs can carry him.

The ones that are animals refer to themselves as their animal type, so I would say they are different species. I think Muppet is like the X-Gene, but one that can carry in any species. Which means a monster like Sweetums is likely Homo Muppetis, like Fozzie is Ursa Muppetis.

Gail has definitely gone Ferrell in her latest trolling attempts.

Londo jumped up on the kitchen counter tonight to try to get at the lasagna that was my dinner tonight. I actually yelled at him, “No, you are not Garfield!"
