I'm honestly not sure what would be worse. The only alternative is another unstable coalition including pretty much the entire democratic spectrum, with no chance of pleasing anyone and growing the AFD even further. Not that I want to see them in government either, but... It's a no-win scenario...

It's made worse by us having a unicameral parliament, no written constitution and a parliamentary system, so whichever group has a majority can do almost anything. Kinda the opposite problem of the US obstructionism. 1/

I mean, usually even our conservatives are pretty moderate when compared to US Republicans, but our current government is pretty bad. They frame it as being about free speech rather than agreeing with her, but... You know...
