Mine vary. I have made them with edge of one flag right up to the next another's with about a finger space between each one. It's usually determined by the length of the piece of ribbon in my stash that I sew them too.

I love notebooks. I have loads. I have had to explain to my family that if they find them empty after I have gone it's because I didn't know if the things I would write would be worthy of such wonderful notebooks. I have yarn and fabric for several lifetimes.

Glad to hear your fingers are healing well.Love all the photos on your blog. My favourite are the ones of the wagtail. They are such lovely little birds. One appears outside my back gate every now and again.
