I love seeing more density going in, but imagine if instead of just two units + a three car garage, this was a corner store with four units above it, especially in this area which along a greenway, next to a school, and in a food desert.

After today’s deplorable WH meeting I have changed my logo’s colors to show support for the 60,000 Ukrainian Americans and 16,000 Ukrainian refugees living in Washington State, some of whom have become close neighbors and friends. May they get to safely return home one day, should they desire.

Can’t wait to get all up in that (bike path)

Do we really need to be able to drive full-ass semis into the waterfront park?

This mayor ironically works at Nucor steel in West Seattle which touts itself as “one of the first diversified steel makers in North America with net zero, science-based greenhouse gas targets for 2050.”

Nationalization of the railroads during WWI led to better worker pay, standardization of track size + rolling stock, investments in declining infrastructure, etc. It made all the improvements the rail monopolies had resisted. Maybe we should be discussing nationalization of some industries again.

Tomorrow, February 28, let’s disrupt the status quo by spending ONLY at businesses that uplift our communities. That means: 🚫 No gas from corporate giants 🚫 No fast food chains 🚫 No big-box retailers (Target, Walmart, Amazon, etc.)

Holy hell Seattle, call in sick for today already

Pretty clear that America's richest people got together in a room some time over the last 5 years & decided that Americans have gotten uppity -- demanding better wages & working conditions, asking for humane corporate policy & an end to racism -- and that they needed to be put in their place.

Hopefully the terrible traffic situation getting out of West Seattle once again will remind people why light rail was overwhelmingly voted for by folks here

This will be many urbanists’ joker moment

It’s always been annoying to me that Amtrak doesn’t stop at Mukilteo, one of the larger ferry terminals in the Sound.

Looks like biggest outages this morning are in White Center and Highland Park.
