I'm live Twitch.tv/whatatravesty

I plan on a stream later tonight, using a leverless controller for the first time. I think it is time I make the jump.

I don't necessarily enjoy the idea of player skill in TTRPGs. A less social player should be able to play a charismatic charmer. A non-tactically minded player should be able to play a grizzled general. Players should be able to be someone they're not.

Congratulations to Warner Brothers for their continued ineptitude and spite towards creatives

Calling sleight of hand "legerdemain" in my game because pronouncing it in French is fun

Re: SF6 throw loops No, they're not fun and yes, they should be removed (throw invul wakeup frames) I see people acting like SF6 is in a downward spiral because Mai has them. SFV got better over the years, I don't see why SF6 can't. That said, Capcom is frustratingly committed to throw loops

I wish the Street Fighter / SNK crossover we got was Elena, Makoto, and Ibuki as a team in King of Fighters

False alarm, praise be

I was gonna post Street Fighter Alpha 2 saying "bad port, good vibes" but I think my PS1's laser is on the fritz

I need the magic potion that makes me not care about my SF6 rank so I can focus on improving

Random GM tip. Limit betrayals and double crosses as much as possible. Your players will be conditioned to not trust anyone or anything, across systems and across campaigns. Players will become unwilling to engage out of paranoia.

I wish there was a Final Fight made for CPS-3 hardware

Jumping off of this, I want to talk about my combat system. Difficulty, as a mechanic in my game, is a negative modifier. Attacks are an Open-Ended roll, with the Target's Evasion and Armor as the Difficulty. The result is how much damage you do, up to your weapon's maximum damage.

My only problem with Avowed atm is that treasure chests don't open up all the way

So Avowed is safe, yet well put together? Splendid, I can't wait to get off work and play it all weekend

if we could find a way to bring jeff wayne's war of the worlds more into the cultural zeitgeist again, I'd be highly in support

“Oh, did a sportsball happen?” I whisper smugly from my vantage point on a distant cliff, the sounds of celebration in the village far below just barely audible over the lonely wind whipping my tattered cloak

ruins of an ancient gamer metropolis

I never got into Harry Potter because I thought wands were lame (still do)

A fantasy setting can have multiple magic systems

To me, TTRPG balance means my PCs all feel equally relevant and meaningful
