Just a thought for trans ally’s you can put prefer not to say in all the places that ask for gender identity

There is some good news for LA now it’s not great news mind you but one of the large fires is now 6% under control the one in the Palisades. 6% is not a lot but after two days of no containment, this is amazing.

Got home safely during the wind storm only to find the elevator broken now we play my least favorite game climb the stairs in a crawl and figure out how to get the wheelchair up the stairs

Just remember self improvement is not about being the best it’s about being better even if it’s just a little like getting to the gym once a week even if you don’t do much. Or remembering to take time for yourself even if you don’t the rest of the month.

#Autistic people are human beings, not magical creatures. Our special interests & bottom-up thinking are not superhuman powers, they’re strengths of autistic HUMANS. We are not hyper-virtuous angels. We aren’t shamans or mediums or spooky little horror-movie children. No subset of us is telepathic.

Pro tip: If you're autistic, you might find that complicated conversations go better over text. Texting gives you time to choose your words, process your emotions, and prevents allistic people from disregarding your words to focus solely on your body language.

Winter has been bad for my chronic pain which constantly reminds me of everyone else with chronic pain as well. I know it’s hard I know you feel bad. Your struggles are valid just know that.

As someone with chronic pain I know first hand how isolating and depressing it can be. If your going through it this time of year just know your not alone and people care about you.

Quick note the symptoms of Autism are the same in girls and boys socialization and cultural norms mean they can look slightly different but they are still the same. Girls might be more social but they will still struggle with social cues. Same symptoms only effected by culture norms.

I find that there are 2 toes of people who rewatch House MD those that criticize it and those that are chronically ill and want to book an appointment

Being chronically ill in America means constantly asking is this normal or an emergency because they both feel the same. In addition it means wondering if you should go to the ER or if you will just be a burden. And that is stress few people understand

Good morning. To anyone struggling with a chronic illness feeling ignored by doctors. You’re not crazy you’re sick. You’re not a burden you’re sick. You need help and you’re right to ask for it.

No, school shootings do not have to be a "fact of life." — Gun laws in other countries have stopped mass shootings — More guns don't make us safer — A majority of Americans want gun reform We do not have to live like this. No other country does.

Good morning BlueSky. Remember if you’re feeling stressed and tired it is valid. So much has happened this week and every week before feeling tired and stressed is a valid experience.

One of the biggest things I notice is that professionals are often bad at recognizing when someone has both ASD and ADHD of course ADHD meds are helping you if you still haven’t been addressing the ASD.

Recently I have been thinking about my ethics class which said not that we couldn’t be involved in politics as therapists but that we had to think carefully about our choice to be. Currently with the population I work with my political alignment is more important than ever. I vote blue

This needs to be said, loud, and often.
