Except it has markings where they shouldn't be for funebris. Even allowing for wear it's atypical for coronata, stachydalis and funebris. An aberrant coronata is probably more likely here in VC55, but needs set/det to resolve fully.

Funnily enough did the same with x7 in mine, except I made the mistake of opening the pheromone trap in the kitchen to pot one and ended up chasing and potting them for 15mins. Two are still at large in there!

The posts from a game developer using one of 'our' hashtags has been flagged, so hopefully if I've done it right any new posts from that account will not appear.

Nope, that's the old feed that was flaky and pulled all the rubbish in. No one was able to sort it, so I set up a new feed c10mnths ago. Search for the feed called Team Moth.

Yes, the original feed was flaky at no-one knew who set it up or was able to modify it, so I created the (hopefully better) Team Moth feed c10months ago.

A lot of Bluesky users mainly follow bespoke/themed 'feeds' rather than the default 'Following' feed. If you click on the hashtag icon at the top right, or on the '# Feeds' option on the left if using a PC, you can search for and pin feeds to your home page. The feed for moths is Team Moth.

All being well; chicken-gate is resolved.

Yes, saw that - chicken called moth and hashtagged #teammoth 🙄. Might have to try and mute the poster, or 'chicken' 🤣

If using PC, you should see a number of setting '# Feeds' on the left hand side of your page. On my (Samsung) phone, there is a # icon top right. Select '# Feeds' or click the # and you can search/pin/unpin your feeds. Whilst there if you click the settings icon you can re-order them too.

Are you following the Team Moth feed, which was setup to replace the unmanaged #teammoth feed? The latter will pick up anything that mentions 'moth'. I see someone has also set up another feed that pulls in exactly the same posts as Team Moth.

Just to be sure: I am asking on the assumption that you have saved the Team Moth feed to your '# Feeds' and you are viewing the feed explicitly for moth posts, not viewing the default 'Following' or 'Discover' feeds.

This is a worn Brown House Moth.

Again, just to be sure: this is whilst you are looking at the Team Moth feed (set, saved and selected from the bar at the top of your home page)? Currently the only posts this will show will have either of the x3 hashtags (but including posts that also have other hashtags). eg:

On the Team Moth feed? If you see others let me know to work out how they are getting on there (I'm not seeing anything like these on the feed).

Those in my garden are not coming far, I hang the pheromone trap from a sallow sapling that I have but only as it is in a convenient place. Orange-tailed comes to wherever I hang the trap in the garden, again not coming far as have had response within mins. But in the field I target the foodplants.

Shape [look at costa] and markings. And expect in life it was noticeably larger than notana/ferrugana is. Doesn't help these are so variable.

Female Light Brown Apple Moth for this one.

Getting de ja vu - didn't you have a spate of blown bulbs earlier in year?

Confirmed via dissection [male].

Finally got around to dissecting this one: despite the very small size (actually smaller than the ferrugana/notana specimens I collected in March) it is a male Acleris schalleriana. #teammoth #vc55moths
