Editorial note: fascism is not insanity, and the language of mental illness should not be used to describe the hearts and minds of evil men.

In case you thought your kids will be safe in a blue state--our future Secretary of Education is proposing moving special education under RFK Jr. at HHS.

Woke up from a scary flu fever dream to my mom calling to tell me that RFK Jr. was confirmed. An actual nightmare!

To be a little real for a second, the USAID news is almost (just almost!) too much for me because I was born in one of those refugee camps. I was a difficult birth, and I know my mother got her natal care in that camp. This stuff absolutely devastates me.

before my kid came into my life five years ago, I never wanted to have a child because the future seemed like it would be too terrible and now, it makes everything so much harder, having to explain things to her but it’s also saving me from a black hole, watching her find her passion and fight

I’ve got a graphic novel coming out next year on the history of public health in the US (drawn by Joyce Rice,) which I’ve been working on for years and I never expected that our public health system would be this damaged/nonexistent by the time it came out. Feels bad!

The RFK Jr. confirmation hearing has been scheduled for 1/29/25. The nomination is on shaky ground. Here's the call to action: Reach Out To Your Senators and Urge Them To Oppose RFK Jr's nomination to be HHS Secretary Here's how to do that, step-by-step:

BALLAD FOR BLACK CASSANDRA a comic/poem (1/🔶)

This will undoubtedly raise the cost of printing comics, from kickstarted indies to the Big 2. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure that those costs will be passed along to the reader across the board. Bad for creators, bad for publishers, bad for retailers, bad for readers.
