Yip.. really pretty ride in. Macdonald Ave rolling into the Elbow bridge #yycbike

Especially prevalent in city transportation departments and on city councils everywhere.

GET OUT ON YOUR BIKE TODAY #YYCBIKE. It is so gorgeous out there. That is all.

Anyone in #yycbike ridden the pathway through Inglewood and then up and over Deerfoot at 17th avenue SW? What is the path like? Icy?

#yycbike: the giant melt puddles are improving and draining. Still be aware of the big one along the zoo pathway by the moose enclosure. Other trouble spot is the one just north of 16th avenue on the Nose Creek pathway, it gets a lot of shade and now features(!) big ruts too.

Last night was the first time we biked to gymnastics since mid January. We went to Mexico & then came back & it was -1000C for weeks. Swapping the very congested drive for a bike ride was glorious. #yycbike

Took the long way back from the bus stop this morning. Definitely icy by the Bow, hopefully the chinook gets it. Probably should have worn winter gloves. Safe travels 🥶#yycbike

Never forget, a 13-year study found that protected bike-lanes led to a drastic decline in fatalities for all road users. ALL ROAD USERS. And painted bike-lanes? No safety improvement at all. For sharrows, it’s actually safer to NOT have them. Via @usa.streetsblog.org @nyc.streetsblog.org

Monday morning #yycbike commute report. Black ice! Everywhere! Ice Spikers were more than up to the task. Only close call was getting off my bike at work in our icy parking lot. 😂

#yycbike report: Alleys and some side roads are super icy & we've got puddles everywhere from the Chinook melt, but it's warm & the sun is out when I head to work, so I'm feeling much better than I was last week!

All in all a pretty quiet ride in. Definitely some ice patches, but really only bad on side roads. Construction work happening on the City Hall +15 bridge obstructing the sidewalk and it doesn’t look like my 311 request to clear the bike-designated road in front of O Plaza was ever actioned #yycbike

This video is bang on! Taking the 104 to get groceries at the Sunnyside Safeway is not convenient because of its 30 min frequency. For that reason I’ll ride my bicycle instead. 🚲😀 #yycbike #Calgary

#yycbike report: we must have had that rain overnight. Conditions are icy af 🥶 Watch those turns and hills. Glacier lakes have formed and will ice up rim brakes. Once the sun gets up things will no doubt improve.

#yycbike report: Honestly better than expected. I rode on the sidewalk yesterday & you can see that the snirt starts to grab my tire at the end here. Overall, not bad & I will certainly take this warmth over that awful deepfreeze.

SIGNAL BOOST: I just got in and there is a lot of ice forming. Super sketchy everywhere. Be careful tomorrow AM. #yycbike

@coachbalto.bsky.social making biking to school cool and fun again!

I DIDNT NEED SNOWPANTS TO BIKE TODAY! OMG, Glorious. The freedom! Roads are still hard pack but with the warm weather coming, they won't be for long so get out there! #yycbike

Last day of the deep freeze? Annika complimented my frozen eyelashes. I assume with this temp swing, I'll be riding on the sidewalk as the snirt takes over residential streets. I'm ready to not be so cold, but not ready for the mess. #yycbike
