It’s about time these members of Congress get reminded that they are there to represent US, not their own interests. They are paid by our tax dollars and have an obligation to not only the Constitution, but to their constituents. Not to the oligarchs and not to a man who thinks he is a king.

I’m pretty telling that the Democratic lawmakers showed up, but none of the Republicans did. I sincerely hope these folks remember this come election time.

Negotiating, Mark? Negotiating is when parties collaborate toward a mutually agreeable outcome. This is simply extortion. This is the kind of whitewashing that got us here in the first place…but you know that. #wordsmatter

Mr Cuban, respectfully…do you really think that the people here are going to fall for your use of the word “negotiating” to describe blackmail and theft?
comment in response to post
It would be one thing if those negotiations were in good faith. They aren’t. This is really disappointing, Mark.

Nah, they are just scared of firing people that know how to use big guns

Same!

What? You mean you don’t enjoy having 100 stories per day about the absolute bat shit crazy decisions being made by this administration?

If Zelensky isn’t scared of Putin, he sure as hell isn’t scared of Trump

It’s been interesting to see the shift in tone about Trump and Musk recently from the financial sector. For some reason, they believed Trump was going to improve any already strong economy with inflation coming close to target. This was entirely avoidable.

Considering red states rely on FEMA and storm season is rapidly approaching, I would think it would be very concerning.

Then expose every damn bit it. Stand together, en masse, on the U.S. Capitol steps. Detail the threats. Condemn illegality. Repent for once cowering. Then, walk inside, remove Trump from office, replace his cabinet clowns and forcefully prosecute threats. Otherwise this *never* gets better for you.

Until DOGE decides they don’t deserve their salary, benefits or pensions. This of course will happen after Trump and Musk no longer have a need for their useful idiots.

Just wait until those supporters lose their jobs, their homes, their farms, their freedoms. Oh, and once Trump no longer needs them, he will throw them to the wolves or in prison. I would say the safer bet is doing what’s right.

He’s already said the judicial branch has no power or authority. If they don’t act now, the legislature is next.

Susan Collins can fuck off. She puts out these statements that she is “concerned”, but does absolutely nothing to put a stop to it.

This just goes to show that he is not really in charge of anything. He sold us out to Elon Musk in exchange for getting him elected. It made him $$$$ and he was able to get his cases dismissed.

Where are the pilot unions in all of this? I can’t imagine the pilots are happy or feel safe. There should be a strike across all airlines, shut it all down.

The "landslide win" myth needs to be shut down permanently. No such thing happened.

I think it’s fairly obvious to anyone paying attention that he is the face of the presidency only. They will allow him to do his PR stunts and an occasional press conference in the Oval Office, but he has no power. He sold that power and America to Musk.

So this is why they have dismantled the CFPB.

I hope so. So far, it seems our courts have been our best line of defense.

The Rule of Law is a binary choice; you either have justice or you don’t your rights are either protected by law or they aren’t Be very clear Trump and the GOP are Dismantling the Rule of Law and REMOVING YOUR HUMAN RIGHTS one by one FIGHT BACK

Why are we even giving him the chance at consolidating power over the span of 6 month? FFS

As an American, I am deeply disappointed and embarrassed of our country. Our leaders (useful idiots) have failed our closest allies and sold them out to parties that should be considered our enemies.

I want to believe that more and more of his supporters are seeing the truth, but I’m not getting my hopes up.

But I’m not sure I can ever trust those people again, and many of them are my family members. Those people have been cut off and I want nothing to do with them. We may share blood, but we do not share morals.

Thank you!

They are still working as if there is a sense of decorum and process that will halt this takeover. I fear it’s going to take us going to the streets and taking drastic action as citizens to get anything done. Congress is not here to save us.

The useful idiots served their purpose. Anyone that actually believed that he cared about their well-being is about to get a healthy dose of reality. Honestly, we need them to see the damage he is bringing to their doorstep, it’s going to take all of us to survive and overthrow this administration.

Sadly, they are about to find out and it’s gonna hit those red states hard. I really want to feel empathy for the pain they are about to experience, but it’s hard.
