How was everyone's holidays?Better than mine I hope! 🙈 I fell down our front steps, sprained my wrist, giant shin bone bruise, too. Lost (and found) my phone twice. Slid down our interior steps, twisting my ankle. And finally, had our basement partially flood due to excess rain. 2025! Woot!

The key lesson that the plutocrats have forgotten is that the *central feature* of Democracy is *stability.* In a Democracy, the public gets a (semi-)responsive government, and in exchange they don’t murder the plutocrats. Give it a decade and Elon et al are really gonna miss the shit they broke.

Because I haven't posted enough fountain pen geekery lately... ;) This week I added to my growing hoard of Octopus Fluids mythic sheening inks by getting Sea Serpent. I love it! Its sheen is more subtle than some of the others in that line, but in the right light it's fantastic, & it flows SO well.

So a long long time, when I was very young, I got married to a guy after the second time I failed out of college, and we got along fine and didn’t have too many problems when he saw me as a dropout who was supporting him by working full time while he finished a college degree.
