Naive,I suppose.

That makes them rich and privileged, but doesn't change the immorality of their actions. Do people lose their conscience as they get rich?

I don't know how these people sleep at night.

Inexplicably, people are still saying Trump is the best president ever. We hear crickets from "state rights" Republicans. Lindsey Graham is not "losing a whole lot of sleep." You may be sleeping great, Senator Graham, but patriotic Americans are awake at night worrying about our country.

Joel, I read this and I genuinely want to cry. This is NOT what a very large portion of the population wants. Unfortunately, this man has an incomprehensible ability to convince about 50% of Americans that everything is great. It's terrifying.

That said, taking the word "experimental" out of the equation, I have some discomfort in forcing people to take a vaccine (or any medication). It's a tough call, as it protects the public, but it seems like a slippery slope.

Once again, I am NOT a medical doctor. my doctorate is in leadership studies. But you are correct - the Pfeizer and Moderna were first approved on an emergency basis and have since received full approval. So, not experimental. For the record, I took it as soon as available, plus all the boosters.

How come Congress hasn't started an investigation yet? Oh wait - Congress seems to be either paralyzed or complicit.

Because that's exactly how the White House should behave when journalists disagree with them.

The Quid Pro Quo in the Adams case is blatant. Those were the days in which corrupt actors tried to hide these kinds of deals. Now it's out there in the open and we are supposed to be ok with it.

Who, me? I'm not a medical doctor. What did I say that bothered you anyway? I am *for* vaccines. I took the COVID vaccine and a zillion boosters. I'm merely agreeing that people shouldn't be forced to take an experimental vaccine because people should control their bodies. You disagree with that?
comment in response to post
I'm sorry that happened to your family. Yes, some people experienced serious side effects. The difficulty is that many more died of COVID and many of those deaths were preventable. Regardless, I don't like forcing any to take a vaccine. People should be able to control their bodies.
comment in response to post
I am not going to use the word "nobody" because I can imagine circumstances in which you would pose too strong of a risk while doing your job (I'm thinking of medical professionals) without the vaccine. But I agree a mandate for an experimental vaccine should be very limited.

Because I wanted milder symptoms and was interested in staying alive. My point is that we all knew - or at least we did if we bothered to read the paperwork. So your scary warning is bogus.
comment in response to post
I don't know about you but I remember reading clearly that it was a new vaccine, that it wouldn't prevent me from catching COVID, and there could be serious side effects. I chose to take the vaccine anyway, as I weighed vaccine and COVID risks.

If you support this administration, you are responsible for anything that happens in the next Pandemic due to the incompetence of the man currently placed in the critical Health Secretary role. If anyone dies - you helped kill them. #Democrats, what is your next move?

By all means, let's ban vaccines. While we are at it, let's also get rid of antibiotics. And who needs hospitals anyway? Sigh.

I don't know why but I haven't been able to make this work. I can't ever see the three dots and Gulf of America is not at the head of Google's answer. What am I doing wrong?

I'm beginning to think we may be focusing on the wrong danger. I'm seriously worried about Musk.

To shut the government down is not beneficial by itself. If it's the price we need to pay to stop the madness, it might be an option.

I don't think they have a better choice.

The funniest part is that the adult content label says that the content "does not include nudity." LOL @bsky.app

Newsflash: self-regulating conflicts of interests only works for highly ethical people who eliminate conflicts of interest before there is even a sniff of one. Sure, that's exactly the way the current administration operates, so we can totally trust the system will be just dandy.

Agreed about the importance of leaders of the future. Let's just not overlook older Democrats. They are all needed. But yes, we need to encourage a strong new generation to come forward.

Stop the Ageism. That plays into their playbook. That said, we need young people to engage and #SpeakUoDemocrats

Say it loudly, please. Be louder, in general. Make it clear to the people you are doing something to stop this madness. #SpeakUpDemocrats

Err... The parable "The Emperor has no Clothes" is "adult content"? @bsky.app there's something wrong with your algorithms.

And, let's make sure schools are not off limits for ICE so that immigrants are afraid to send their children to school. :'(

The 19th century called. They want us back. Who needs scientific achievements, vaccines, and civil rights? Better still, let's go back to the 18th century. Those were the days.

Yes, we will never know the minds we lost because young people were taught intelligence, academics, and research were somehow bad.

Those were the days. That's the one part of "great" I'd love to have in America. Now if they could send racism, homophobia, and misogyny back to the 50s, I'd appreciate it.

We are past discouraged. We are furious. We knew this was going to be bad, but not at this speed, and not with such brazen disregard to the rule of law.

She joined a university for the Deaf to learn, as there are few PhD psychologists who can work with Deaf clients. As you can imagine, having an interpreter in a therapy session is not ideal, and the interpretation of assessments requires cultural understanding.
