They starve the population of Gaza, then put on a show of giving food and water to the activists they kidnapped.
Israel never fails to attempt the barefaced manipulation of the narrative, which will be eaten up readily by those who called for the murder of those onboard.

Clair Obscur is great and an achievement, but it isn't a rags to riches story.

Also: a game like this doesn't get made on a shoestring budget by folks with no industry connections - this probably cost more money to make than most people can save up in their lifetime. & Some random indie dev with no connections doesn't land Andy Serkis in a leading role

By which I mean, who are these weird guys in the Nether who are threatening me with violence unless I wear golden clothes?
Are they Andrew Tate fanboys or?

Also: if there's a question mark in the URL with a bunch of stuff after it and it's not clear what the purpose of it is, maybe delete that off there before sharing

These started popping up a while ago (tinyurl etc), and they were a problem then. I don't know why they've started a resurgence now when we should be wiser

These sites didn't bother to wait for a response from Valve or anybody with credibility before reporting highly alarming falsehoods, which they would have immediately known were falsehoods if they'd spent 10 seconds checking what the actual source was...

Who see no problem with allowing themselves to be a platform for Israeli propaganda year after year, yet condemn solidarity with Palestine.

Props to this game though, I am deathly allergic to turn based combat in general, but between the parry system (don't have to eat hits if you get them right) and the interesting interplay of abilities, it's somehow working for me

Also: the game is in early access and costs €40, so the criticism the game gets is all fair game imo

People are uncomfortable buying the game because it's the product of abusive behaviour by the leadership.
Also: if that's causing them to haemorrhage all their talent, why should anyone trust that they'll be able to create something as good as Ori this time?

Hate speech can be reported, but clearly that's the only time the moderation team EVER deal with it.
If the hate speech is Islamophobic, there's only about a 20% chance they do anything.
Islamophobia and far right propaganda is incredibly prevalent on the site.
Never. Go. There.

This feedback loop occurs because they take a hands-off approach to moderation.
Posts and comments are made more visible when they are popular, which includes those times when they are filled with needless hate, misinformation, and propaganda.

Do they have teams of ghostwriters behind them?
Many of the big accounts on that feed post so much every day that I can't imagine one person is coming up with all of it

The left has the real potential to be and stay in power, but the only party they can rely on right now to stand up for their values are the Greens, who have a permanent branding problem: they sound like a one-issue party who will always be down-ballot.

And to the conglomerate that brings us the slop sites Gamerant, Screenrant, TheGamer, and more...
If Polygon had any reputation before, it'll surely be flushed now

It's so refreshing to hear a voice in the journalistic space using equal language like this.
Unlike the rest of them who refer to Palestinians as prisoners, while referring to the Israelis as hostages.
I hope you hear this enough: thank you Owen for speaking thoughtfully and compassionately.

To be clear for anyone dense who reads this: their problem is not with Islam, they just hate brown people. They use the excuse "I'm just criticising the religion", but their actions are always to seek out, provoke, and attack Muslims and minorities in general.

Nobody showed up to join in with their hate speech, but they all had their action cams ready.
Meanwhile, people of all colours and faiths showed up to the pro-Palestine march, because it's about calling for peace and justice.
