An example from my phenomenology: Reverberant sounds, especially with a lot of high end, feel cold and unpleasant. Like you're alone in a big empty space with hard walls.
Sounds with shorter, more dampened reverb, feel more warm, comforting, and pleasant to me. Like you're in a small cozy space.
