I refuse to believe that anyone would object to calling them 'Skeets' except outside agitators from the deep state.

Glad to have that soft confirmed. I'm super hyped.
I've been inspired to read 'God Emperor' at the moment after playing the Dune MMO and I cant even imagine that they would even attempt to adapt this book. It'd be fascinating if someone wanted to continue the franchise AFTER Denis.

I mean... the ending to Messiah would be SUCH a hard sell to end the 'trilogy' on for Warner Bros. so it makes sense to bring in 'Children' (or elements of it) to soften it, or to complete the whole Paul Atreides story arc in one go.

Oh damn, if they're doing Children of Dune AND Messiah in the same movie, I'd definitely be onboard.
Messiah always felt like too small a story to really sit as an epic in the way Denis has made Dune 1 and 2. If he rolls Messiah and Children into one story for 3, that would rule!

I guess the Pro AI guy just stripped the context. That it's Gunn's way of writing him, rather than say "ha, villains think like this"

Real "Ridley Scott to direct a new Alien" energy right now.

I'm both nervous about it being an unworthy follow-up cash-in and super excited about the potential at the same time.

Really hoping it goes hard at nostalgia sequels in the way Matrix 4 did. A surface-level sequel to a satire would be a missed opportunity

Yeah. I don't like that I suck at a thing or at least cannot gain enjoyment out of my current level of skill at it. If I want to play the piano, the early stages of my skill mean its all work and no enjoyment.
The idea that I will enjoy myself later is not strong motivation without gratification

Of all his films, this felt like it had the least subtext, and was more an opportunity to just show the reality of modern conflict from a soldier's point of view; fear, uncertainty, futility, but genuine comradery.
The genesis of the project was interesting after Civil War.

Is the left freaking out too? all I've seen has been MAGA that this pope is woke. But I assume that this is one of those "claim there is a controversy" fake stories that gets traction without there being substance

Oh man! Remember NFTs? When con-artists would go on Jimmy Fallon and talk about 'apes' and shit. What a time nobody cared about.
Tech bros just said that's how art and collectables has to be, and they were everywhere... until they weren't.

Really enjoyed the game, and the soundtrack. Which pieces were you involved in?

I'd watch that, he was great in Tenet, not sure if he has the star power to bring them in (yet). I thought maybe Adam Driver, but I can see him more as a 'specialist' on the team, than the team lead.
I'm trying to think of who is like when Tom was doing MI:1 back in 96.

Love 'Escape's poster has a line pointing to the baby in the picture so you know who we're talking about.
