At high tide a lot of the waders roost out of sight so I’d suggest a couple of hours after low tide. It’s often been feeding on the north shore but early pm today was on the south shore and so closer

I had this issue with the rare birds UK Feed. Settings seemed identical to other Feeds I’d also set up (in SkyFeed) that didn’t have the same issue. I ended up adding a ‘keep posts’ instruction and posts were then retained (though it didn’t capture earlier posts)

I don’t know if BirdTrack reports of dead birds are triaged by Defra for potential collection and testing. @btobirds.bsky.social ?

I don’t know whether the flanks were particularly pronounced on this bird or it was just that because we were viewing NE from the vantage point the afternoon light was hitting the bird square-on (unusual for south facing Fife)

I know, breathtaking quality. Obvious brownish flanks and deep pinkish red on bill (yellowish towards nostrils) visible in the field. It was a lot closer than my pic may suggest #rarebirdsUK

You getting many eBird records in? Seems to be more widely used in Fife than BirdTrack

Hi Neil, any posts including the the #Skyebirds tag will now automatically be picked up in the Birding Scotland Feed (and will therefore also get picked up by the Birding UK Feed)
