And today's additions!!!
Finally made the tail for this little guy!! Very precious, much delight <]:}
Idk he's vibes like a tiny squirrel but he's actually a macaw parrot 👏🌿 very shaped
So many challenges and new things learned while making him and he turns out so cute!!

First time making hair this way, and it was surprisingly easy! Just freeforming segments and adding them one by one! Looks messy and asymmetrical and exactly as it's supposed to be!" (26.02.25)

"The guy is still in progress because I'll be making wings and tail and wing harness belts and waist toolbag, and I'm very proud of how he turned out so far!

"Yay I've finished the arms!!! Finally! Also he still can stand on hiso own and doesn't topple over! It's a bit more difficult to position him so he stands due to the shifted center of mass but it's no problem at all!!
Also the arms are soft enough to do some minor positioning :} eyeyeyy" (23.02.25)

"Hand! The usual awful experience of 1mm hook on 2mm 3-ply thread but it looks very nice and can be posed! Well, relatively, but better than i expected" (13.02.25)

but if ut wouldn't then I'll try adding a slip stitch row onto the part where the fold of the shirt is to make it look crispier cuz now it's more like those vintage false overshoulder collars." (10.02.25)

"About as terrifying as it should be at current point i guess 🤷♀️ this collar did inflict some damage onto my fingers, because it's actually 3 mildly overlapping layers (neck, shirt, sweater) that i had to cram into minimal space, and i can only hope that it looks fine when it's finished,

I legitimately forgot i started this thread and thought that i intended to show this all here when i finish him but since it's already started and because today I'm absolutely delighted with the existence of this project y'all get to have a recap of what i have by now! Enjoy ✨🦜🌿

and i love how the cloth parts of it are such deep red and how they complement her blonde hair!
Also the lighting in here is so nicely harsh and intense that it both sparks the sense of danger and brings out every detail of the painting vibrantly and clearly! Amazing art!

and where their dim golden crown is, than it's a brilliant visual metaphor! Really nice very good and i also love the ornament on their bracelets, very swirly :} I love how angular the priestess' armour is with its layering and welded together segments,

I don't know who the crowned figure in black is, are they a deity? Because if they're non-human than the detail of them being almost-transparent where the priestess' hand is risen tward them, and so much more solid where their own hands make contact with her and the sword,

Is she the one recieving this sword? I love how intimidating it looks, as if it's made of bone melded with iron and how the redness on it looks like living, pulsing veins and how the empty circles near the guard seem like saturated flesh. Very cursed very lovely 10/10

ridden with emotions so intense that they blend into being unrecognisable — is this haterd? awe of a worshipper? fear? determination? I know not, but her wide-open eyes shine with a thousand suns worth of them.

With how it seems to be either river waters or a storm behind them, catching their light into uneven shapes and reflections; The expression of this priestess? paladin? I don't know - her crown looks holy in a way that cursed gold is — her face is like a mask,

Yo hi this is such an intimidatingly vibrant artwork? There's so much tension in it that it feels like simultaneously dynamic and painfully static, as if the place surrounding the characters moved more than they did,

✨🌿🩵🌿✨It is one yes! I don't feel strong emotions frequently at all, my usual is like a 60% intensity for "wow that's stunning!" (your art, top-tier books, marvelous day, magpies, etc.), with neutral at 35-40%, & i have like 6 memories of when it was 100, like that one, & now i have a 7th! Thank you!

towards being able to breathe and sing and craft — for the first time in my life so fully and vibrantly — this is what your painting feels like to me, and i thank you sincerely, for sharing it with us.

letting the breeze and the river's rustle come within my home, cup of tea in my hands and my mother getting ready to sleep, the thought of "i love, i love, i love, i love" echoing through my mind — towards the city, towards that night, towards people I know and towards me,

Why was i crying? This painting had thrown me into the memory of when i wrote my "У вежах" poem on a warm night in early days of summer, sitting in a kitchen way past midnight with a small dim lamp on and the balcony door open wide,

It gives such a strong impression that the entirety of this piece is a hymn to her victory, with her unarmoured form being the present and the future, and not a memory, steps steady and light within her eyes

This bottom middle segment within the frame, it is so adorable and reassuring, with the undamaged armour laid to rest upon a cast-down banner, adorned with flowers like a memory left behind with happiness in one's eyes, with an open medallion discarded or simple left alongside it,

And i love how the eye pattern on the giant halo seems to belong to her, all turned outwards as her gaze is, yet who stands behind it back to back with her? The past, the present, the future? Another fate of hers, or a mirror? A for or a friend? Or a something that doesn't exist?
comment in response to

but the determination and pride in her gaze make it seem almost celebratory, with the cup and the flagpole in her hands and warriors bowing to her with hands clasped as if in prayer
comment in response to

I know not whose hand this is that doesn't belong to her, but i can bow to how tenderly they hold eachother and how light and meaningful is their touch. I know not why the eye on her armour is fractured, either, be it freedom of her fate or a victory over a mighty foe,

and i adore how the poem you chose calls out to the public high and mighty and eternal, and to all of us as well, stating that the love for Her was there before them, paving soft roads before her, wherever she may wish to travel in her ultimate freedom,,

I love how asymmetric is the upper middle of the frame, with those old, intertwined trees that still let enough light through that the image sings peace instead of a threat,

and with her figure so relaxed within a resting place where no danger shall ignite and no hostile world shall open its maw, vulnerable but for no one bar herself, indulging her curiosity in peace and serenity,,
comment in response to

For starters, this is just so shaped, there's so many details but none of them are crumpled and the symmetry within the frame is impeccable, with her armoured image and with the lilies and with a lush faraway road amidst the trees,

i have no doubt you'll have fun learning to make them more pronounced! Im trying new things too – had somewhat successfully drawn Ishtall's current outfit and am currently trying to make a posable doll which is 3/4 her height and will have posable wings! Good luck with your endeavours!

The practice with expressions is also gorgeous – the almost-neutral ones that you usually do convey emotions amazingly too and frankly speaking it's magical how you make it work every time and how well it suits the characters you depict –

Did u use new brushes here? The textures are so very nice and crunchy! Metal, fabric, her skin & hair, those roses, everything! I love that tiny crack on the pauldron and her little braid and how warm the tabard looks and how the eye ornament on her back looks shiny like soft leather! Amazing work!

Warm tea and soft blankets for her! She doesn't look like she's in dire need of those but maybe it's a bit of joy regardless :}

The last one feels very dynamic to me for some reason that i can't really pinpoint, like a gif of a fox tilting her head 45° because she saw or heard something unusual (•v•) and the blush here is so cute!!

For some reason it gives me vibes of marching to some destination with purpose and spring in your step, idk
The top right one is like an even more positive version of that, with clear smile and warmth in her eyes :} love the highlight under her eyes here, she looks so relaxed!

I love how in the one where she's turning back in our direction she looks both stern and, like, smiling without actually smiling? Like a kind of "hey, quit stalling and follow me, we got places to be, friend" expression?

but here we can see difference that's a bit more pronounced because of comparsion that goes for different emotions on one character, very nice!

!!!! Wow she!! You have done an absolutely excellent job depicting facial expressions here, your works always look alive and natural with how you depict emotions through eyes and subtle step-aways from neutral expressions

I'm attempting to do a somewhat - posable doll so that arms and legs can move, though fitting it correctly into a small scale will be a challenge.
He'll definitely be bigger than my Malenia and Morgott dolls
