I hope we can speed up AI development & adoption. However, the public has a right to expect that that process won't make climate and grid security worse. Therefore, limit AI's consumption of non-clean energy to 2023 levels. That was enough to allow a lot of progress. Well regulated nuclear is green

You are right, however, when I open a can of tomatoes or fill a prescription, I expect regulations are in place that guarantee certain levels of quality. Who has better control over they operations than the big cloud/ai companies?

That's a good question. What can we as individuals do to resist the growing threat of #deportation? A lot of this will be in the hands of lawyers. In #SanFracnisco, we have an Immigration Defense Collaborative linked below with better answers than I can give right now: Beyond that...(1/4)

I think many others are making progress by facing up to their basic challenge: how do we leverage AIs and maintain control while following a bottom up style of development. For example one can have cursor generate 1000 lines of code or one can use it to develop small functional units.

Anyone can experiment with their basic approach: Continue to favor a REPL style of bottom up development by combine it with advice and code from an AI. Catching up with them will be challenging, but they do plan on releasing tools.

So what? So open. Adoption of open allows interesting new development on the order of $1 million not 100 million. Tülu 3 looks like it is made for tinkering.
