There will be scathing rebukes from the math tutor contingent any minute now, I'm sure.

I had no idea, but apparently I needed that. It's hitting me in all the feels.

Semi-related: I have a coworker who's from Boston, and he assures me that that English actress's Boston accent is ridiculous. 😂

This season is based on a really good book, too. I'm excited to see what they do with it.

I couldn't even remember if I had liked the few bits of it that I read. I did some research here and there over the last half-year whenever the itch got too strong to ignore, and... I found it.

All I could remember was that I got it around the time the second Jurassic Park movie came out, there were dinosaurs on the cover, and a few vague details about one of the early stories. I didn't know the title, the author, the publisher, or anything that would make my search simple.

I didn't think about it for nearly thirty years until a stray memory of it just popped into my head out of nowhere last year. It started bugging me to the point where I knew I had to revisit it, but the only problem was that I really had no idea what I was looking for.

The book that the new season is based on was really good; I can't wait to see how they adapt it!

Really, the only downside of the day was that my snake didn't want to eat tonight. I have the weekend off, and I'm winding down the evening by having a couple of beverages and listening to some music. Cheers!

I got out a bit earlier than I expected and treated myself to a Singles Awareness Day lunch (and had who may have been the best server I've ever had at a restaurant). I bought some books at Barnes & Noble and discovered that I had more left on my gift card than I thought I did.
