anyone who worked closely with american soldiers is a potential witness to their war crimes. The SAS in the UK blocked members of units who worked with them from coming to britain for exactly this reason.

don't think there's a need to go into trauma or claim that he's... genetically impure (?)... when he's spent the last several years immersed in a right-wing subculture that says things like "empathy is a weakness". He's been radicalised to the far right in a pretty "normal" way.

The implicit assumption, as in so many discussions of immigration, is that people's default status is dumb animals or objects; we possess civil and political rights only insofar as we are granted them by the law of whatever territory we find ourselves in.

If he was a traitor that would be good. Treason against the USA & the lessening of american power on the world stage is the moral responsibility of all americans. Unfortunately he is merely a right-wing shitbag looking to realign america foreign policy.

Oh my christ the number of liberals complaining about how the sacrifice of our poor wittle british war criminals in the invasions of afghanistan and iraq isn't being respected by the mean old americans is infuriating. It is nice to see the americans tear up their soft power like this though

In addition like... where are these reform voters and transphobes who are desperately lining up to work with the left but are being gatekept? You get these arguments about hypothetical anti-racist tories or whatever, but they're not... real? They don't exist in any significant numbers.

The state should simply sieze their land. Or buy them out if you want to be nice about it. Either way, food production is too important to be left under the control of these millionaires.

They're basically convinced that most people are a barely-contained racist mob-in-waiting.

Absurd that you can get charged for insulting a pig. These snowflakes should toughen up.

She's rather blatantly been scapegoated for the systematic failings of the NHS caused by over a decade of cuts. The tories are the ones who murdered those babies.

in the uk we're currently in the "biden" phase, when labour collapses at the next election we may have our "trump part 2" phase - unless there's a left alternative built in the meantime.

Really good concise introduction.

At bare minimum, if you are by default serving users anything other than a chronological feed of posts from accounts they have chosen to follow, you are not a platform. You are a publisher and subject to all the same rights and responsibilities thereof

Oh I didn't realise, how embarrassing. Why have you changed your position since writing the article, then, from a more nuanced take to total dismissal?

It's a snappy aphorism but certainly not "all one needs to know" -- it offers no strategic orientation for actually fighting fascism, except for anti-imperialism. I do not think that a commitment to anti-imperialism is sufficient to fight fascism.
