I'm surprised they haven't demanded a statement from Kyiv that Putin's pretty.

I did that from 4 to 5, but then coffee just sounded too good, even with only 3 hrs sleep. It doesn't come easily nor for very long these days. Pisses me right off that now being retired, I'm actually waking up earlier than for a work day. Ironically, I retired from running a sleep lab.

To me, they sound like they're trying to give us all warm milk and send us to bed.

Ours either. Very red state, only one Dem in the House but she's one hell of a fighter. Just not in my district. π

Done. Their language use is getting easier to spot once you realize they all sound like encyclopedias.

This just in today and there won't be one Republican voice against it:

I call my Senators and district representative daily. Occasionally I even get through. Unfortunately, they're all Republicans and bored civility is the best I've gotten. All Republicans, despite their private opinions that he's unfit for office, are behind him completely for fear of his followers.

Those guys weren't generals by far, so...historically they may not count.
But if there isn't violence coming in the weeks and months ahead, I would be very surprised.

It's been a continual nightmare here in the States. Difficult to keep up with everything and it's sometimes an hourly bombardment of insanities. Historians and psychologists will spend decades analyzing how seemingly reasonable people could be so deceived. Even friends and family. So disheartening.

And it's only your job, housing, income, individual and family health insurance, and future at stake. What could POSSIBLY affect an accurate outcome in that environment?

Now realizing this is for your blog, isn't applicable, and totally came from my American Lit days. My apologies.

Hmm...I would say bombardment of a location description when it could be well-conveyed with more carefully chosen observations. And wandering off. Stephen King drove me nuts with that with a few of his novels, but he later attributed that to cocaine, so...you'll be fine.

Wyoming is as red as can be. It'll be interesting how they'll make themselves heard. And how Barasso and Lumis handle the fallout. Hageman's too busy getting chased out of the ladies' room by Boebert and her genital Gestapo to much matter. They really messed up getting rid of Liz.

Remember when Trump said he needs the kind of generals Hitler had? Blind loyalty. Nothing to do with Hegseth's vanity, though I'm sure there's no shortage there.

No, there's a larger purpose to these purges. Who will be left to object to using the military to quell the protests? Or to object to using soldiers to guard the camps, first for immigrants and then for the next group in the way of Project 2025? Or object to martial law? Hegseth is the perfect patsy

Canada provides 30 states with power! 10 in totality!
If we shut off power:
πΊπΈ will have social anarchy in 12 hour.
One dark COLD night!
Leave us alone.
