1/🧵 The Cass Review final report was quietly amended in December 2024, just before the permanent ban was announced, and it seems to have gone unnoticed. While most of the changes were minor and clerical, two of them were significant. Both changes relate to informed consent.

To be very clear - the Commission on Human Medicine's number one reason for stating puberty blockers are "unsafe" was the speculated impact on "gender and sexuality maturation" and the idea they are making "homosexual in nature" children trans rather than gay. Bigotry wrapped up in nonsense.

This is funny/not funny. My tragic position has given me some limited access to media and politicians. Those in charge of trans healthcare, trans rights aren’t here and aren’t well read on trans issues. They haven’t heard of SEGM let alone understand their connections to UK youth gender services.
