I set the microwave for one minute. That's only an hour. That's in the future. It doesn't tangibly hurt us >right now< and I may acknowledge that it'll suck for the future...
But do you need to be a genius to know you can't go that extra hour without oxygen and live?

Now imagine you are in a submarine with three hours worth of oxygen. You are told it will take three hours to breach the surface and get new air. I have a microwave that can heat up my food, but each minute in the microwave takes one hour of air.
