Is that job salaried or by the hour? 15/hr? Benefits? Health insurance? Unions allowed? Company housing because private equity bought every habitable space? How long before AI comes up with the questions and that person loses their job?

Well, I wouldn't buy a car right now if I didn't have a lot of resources. Focus on reducing debt. And while we may not be able to prepare for it all, we buy ourselves time to adapt if multiple systems --banking, food productions and distribution are disrupted.

My school, a small public charter, already laid off teachers last year. If we lose title funding we'll try to meet those needs but with even fewer teachers. Only so many pennies in a dollar.

It feels like mainstream discourse is still sort of trying to pretend we’re at least somewhat within the realm of normal politics, because it’s so terrifying if we’re not. But if that is what’s happening, the longer we remain in denial the more dangerous it becomes.
