Thank you for this clarification. People like Kirk SHOULD be called out on their ill-informed, partisan lies.

This is ironic since in 2020, after Senator Richard Burr's resignation, Mitch McConnell appointed Marco Rubio to be the acting Leader of the Senate Intelligence Committee.

The name of the Enola Gay has nothing to do with sexuality. It was a bomber, named after Enola Gay Tibbets, the mother of the pilot, Paul Tibbets. My father worked as a mechanic on the plane for the Army Air Corp. He told me the story of the name. See what happens when people forget history?

I remember it well. A carefree, funny friend was a number 4 - guaranteed to be drafted if healthy. When he returned from the war, he most definitely was not healthy. He was hardly ever himself again. All of this Trump tyranny was inevitable. How could people have let it happen again?

They're definitely not following Christ's example who said, "render to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s” (Matthew 22:21, ESV).

Good thing. These days, with the immorality, corruption, terrorism and lies that shape every day's news, I'd hate to see a "government approved" version of the Ten Commandments.

I THOUGHT I had a grip on the situation, but now that you put it like THAT, Yikes!

Shocking, isn't it, that the current actions we see in in real life run counter to the idealistic oaths they originally took? I suspect that some go into the profession, like family before them, with good intentions, but others may join just to be bullies licensed to carry firearms.

BANDITS wear masks. Law enforcement officers should wear IDs and badges to reflect courage and honor their oaths. In case they forgot, or people start to normalize this aberrant behavior, here is the oath according to the International Association of Chiefs of Police:

I thought of all of this with great sadness as Lee Greenwood sang, "I'm proud to be an American" at Trump's 45 million dollar birthday ego parade.

We all know the arrogance, exaggeration, grandiosity, lack of empathy, and need for admiration of the disorder. We see it, and its fallout, everyday. What I want to know is how many troops he plans to deploy to avenge the nearly 1,800 "No Kings" protests that are scheduled for his birthday?

About 20 years ago, I taught a series of college Dystopian and Apocalyptic Literature courses with all of these books except for the The Matrix, Brazil, and Logan's Run. Students were absolutely adamant that these things could NEVER happen in the "modern" world. I wonder what they're thinking now.

Ha! Years ago, I had done something that my Grandmother didn't agree with, and I was trying to explain. She wanted to say "fuck off," but instead, to give me a deeper, more specific dig, she said, "Oh, go write a book about it!" 😄 Yes, it was quite effective.

Context: This statement doesn't make him a hero. He specifically said that he wouldn't vote for it "in its present form". He didn't say "never"; he said that he wouldn't vote to raise the debt ceiling. What he really wants is to start the process all over again & have the Senate write its own Bill.

The purpose of government scientists is to research disease & to advise citizens of potential cures. Data is objective & should not be politicized. We pay taxes for this dept., & the American people have the right to know results of medical research because what we DON'T know CAN kill us.

How do we get that delusional, conspiratorial, un-qualified, narcissist removed before he kills everyone?

Enjoy it. I did the same thing 25 years ago. You're right about the heady fragrance. Sadly, we got hit by a hurricane, & a 40 year-old tree crashed onto the jasmine-covered fence snapping every plant. That was almost 8 months ago. We pruned them to the ground, & every jasmine plant is growing again!

Women who may be tempted to rent out their reproductive organs for a cool 5K should know that the cost of raising a child is $30K a year, & from ages 0-17, the total estimate is $300,000+, not counting college. Trump can file this idea under "fat chance". www.kidsaintcheap.com/can-you-affo...

Even before the effusion of guilt-screaming, most people know that he couldn't have completed 781 reviews, and if he did, it's certain that some bureaucratic assistant had a spread sheet & completion dates for regulatory review. These brawls reflect the current decline of efficacy and decorum.

Unfortunately, yes. For one publication, and for reasons related to reviewer schedules, I had three reviewers, all with different requests. I revised per 3 different concerns. In the end, I re-submitted the original draft (to the newest reviewer), and the paper was published with no further notes.

Sincerest wishes, Mr. President, for God's blessing over you, for skill in your doctors' minds and hands, for posts-op care that keeps you comfortable, and for the continued love of your family, friends, and fellow Americans who wish you well and hope for your total healing.🙏

You definitely have that right. This is the way it works in my red state. You can call and write until you're "blue" in the face, and the next day, either your Governor or your Senators have signed yet another nefarious bill into law or your Senator becomes the new Secretary of State. 🙄
