No one should be getting confirmed until there are consequences for what all the other nominees were just up to.

We're EXTREMELY lucky that the outcome was a careful journalist getting this information but we won't always be so lucky. Unless people start facing consequences, no one in the administration will take this seriously and worse things WILL happen and people will get hurt.

Trump's incompetent buffoons are putting every single one of us working Americans at risk by failing take security measures seriously. And they don't know enough about their jobs to even understand this and the seriousness of what they've done.

He knows the horserace questions are a distraction from the real message he needs to get to working Americans

This is a fair statement though? "...I happen to think we need comprehensive immigration reform, but I don’t think it’s appropriate for people to be coming across the border illegally.”

Here's a few suggestions:

They need to be reformed or replaced from the top if we're to have any hope - a pressure campaign is our best shot right now. We put together a list of demands and strategy for the DNC - it's pinned to our profile. If enough of us demand reform, maybe, just maybe we can wake them up.

In the thread just above this Trump is talking about Canada as the 51st state - Dems clearly don't want to see the situation that is rapidly unfolding. Their entire operation atm is suspect and only a complete rebuild of the party is going to change anything.

Maybe someday after they've tried everything else, the Dems will finally try that hard pro-worker reset.

It's over, Senator - step down. You can't regain the public's trust after this. Most importantly, we need people we know we can count on when it gets ugly, because it's only going to get more ugly. And long term - we need someone who knows how to talk to the people and help rebuild the party.

Schumer stepping down is just our most immediate need - the entire Democratic party needs to reform itself, and they need to do it yesterday. And they're only going to do it with intense public pressure. We've drafted a list of demands and pinned it to our profile here.

Senator, there won't be many chances like the one you had yesterday that would actually accomplish something. So you have to understand that after you let an opportunity like that one pass you by, we are skeptical of statements like this and the likelihood that you will ever do anything to 'fight'.

Cosigned. The DNC needs a serious wakeup call and a fundamental reset.

More: “Schumer & the rest of those that have enabled this week's fiasco need to be replaced immediately with those who understand the depth & urgency of this constitutional crisis.”

We've drawn up a list of demands for the DNC - requiring Democratic Party leadership to resign is only the first step. It's pinned to our profile if you'd be kind enough to read it and share.

So you're saying you'll just vote for anything if the GOP threatens shutdown - really really great tactical mind you got there.

We've created a accessible version of our demands to the Democratic Party. Please read it and share it. The quickest way to build a true resistance is party reform in the spirit of Bernie and AOC - and with public pressure we can force them to do it. drive.proton.me/urls/008C8TB...

This community and other similar communities are more passionate about solving the problems we face than most of our representatives - and we're hoping a groundswell of pressure behind a clearly defined plan will wake the Dems up and inspire them to do what's necessary of them, right now.
