Just remembering what a pain it was trying to deal with my grandparents' stuff. Uggh. Whereas Andy's family paid Gpa Kelly's renter to clear his house (which is something she does as a business), and overall it was a huge relief.

I'm really glad this option was available for you all, so you can go thru' things but also so that you know you don't have to deal with getting rid of all the other stuff (furniture, &c.).

I'm super broke & unemployed, but i gotta scrape together enough to get a copy of this. Maybe it'll help me get off my butt!

Oh wow. "Cheap Copies!" looks so great — thanks for posting about it! I have a Rex Rotary duplicator and just enough supplies for a project or 2, but that also means i've been frozen with indecision about what to make!

Happy to eat them when we're in a restaurant. No interest in growing them and asking you to do something with them.

Even Andy and i have tried it only ONCE — the classic preparation where you dip it in butter and drag the leaves thru' your teeth. We had mixed results and haven't gone back!

Why can't "open to conversation" be an option when booking a flight? ✔️ Window seat ✔️ Extra legroom ❌ Chatty neighbor

Absolutely firm in my decision to keep our house as dumb as possible.

Disappointed there are no pics showing the second hand at 11 o'clock, the Enterprise slung over his shoulder like a bindle stick.

I don't rewatch it very often, but it's definitely a comfort rewatch for me. I think it was the first movie on DVD i bought when we got our first player.

*Nothing* like a late-night Perkins run in your early 20s.

Wish i'd taken a picture of the headless naked lady who was plumbed to be a fountain piece. Perfect for the hidden pond in the corner of your gothic yard. Amazing possibilities.

Ouch. I can feel the road rash.

I twisted my foot back in November. And, OWW! Sympathies. I'm so glad it wasn't worse.

Yes, exactly. And also, *who* did the analysis that led to the graphic?

(I reeeeeeeeeeeeally fuckin' hate it when people share things unsourced. The chart itself doesn't even note WHO put it together, which is always a bit of a flag for me.)

With the wormwood, i even cut the herb quantity in half and it was still overwhelming and unpleasant. One of the few times i've ripped a whole plant out of the garden because i no longer needed/wanted it, but it is locally invasive and i can use that pot for something else.

They truly are just sugar! Usually flavored with mint, sometimes colored (in the batch i linked to, coloring differentiates flavors, which are ... different types of mint, lmao). They are an amazing teatime snack. I'd like to experiment with floral flavorings, like rose, jasmine, elderflower, &c.

Thank you! I do love NordicWare's designs. I should look at them more closely. I also need to figure out where the nearest Michael's is, especially now that JoAnn's is dying. *sigh* Thank you so much!! This gives us directions to start in. The local kitchen store was sadly a bust yesterday.

Omg, that's super cute

We've also experimented with making wormwood-flavored hard candies, tho' no one here liked the wormwood so next we're going to try hoarhound-flavored (yes, like a cough drop). Anyway, the theme here is old-timey candies.

Not me! Turns out Andy's interested in candymaking. So far he's made French creams for me (i don't know if anyone knows what these are, because they are HEAVILY associated with the old ladies of my youth — www.steverscandy.com/French-Cream...).
