They’re concerned with creating ecosystems and locking people in, so they can’t move away, or it becomes artificially difficult to do so. The device is merely a gateway to getting folks hooked on a service.

It sucks in the post-production world too. I work in localization for film and TV and the amount of work we’ve been getting has dried up a LOT.
