I finally identified the problem that kept me from finishing the urban fantasy. Easy Peezy, I thought. But every change is creating the rolldown effect. So it won’t be a small change. It’ll be a complete rewrite. 😢. Oh well, I will enjoy the process. Or else! 😉

I interpret a semi-colon as a period hitching a ride on top of a comma to cross a river. The comma's sitting a little low in the water, swimming gamely with its mobile tail. We are pausing here in the sentence to watch while the two little guys get safely across.
