I’ll reply to yours since mine is also a Bay Area punk one. Got a job at a cafe in NYC, worked a shift and walked across the street to the bar for a beer, served to me by Blake from Jawbreaker

Every time I hear sirens, I hear the coyotes in the park howl in response. In spite of persecution and cruelty, of their tenuous lives in the city, they still raise their pups, play and love, scrounge and live. When I feel really lost, I howl back too

I saw a movie screening where Christopher Guest did a Q&A afterwards. Person in the audience had a whole story about how they are a playwright yadda yadda, with no question. Guest took the mic and just said very sympathetically “and I’m sure it’s all true”. Brutal.

I’m coming to terms with this myself. I know there are people who had a plan all along that worked out perfectly, but it’s ok that I’m not one of them. That’s what I need to tell myself

Given green parrots and loquats I figured you are in Southern California like me. Nothing here that could eat a green parrot in flight I think, but I bet a great horned owl could get em in their nests

I got a similar but slightly more invasive surgery and I am here to say that it was No Big Deal, and anyone complaining about a vasectomy should nut up and shut up

I think I’m a great parent. Perhaps… perhaps even better than the gods!

I understand the irony of posting this on a social media site, and the book is really lovely. But still. They make me have email, at the peril of my immortal soul

My personal favorite is the lamb dip but they’re all good
