How many windows is it going to take to get a squad that can do what he wants?

1. This is awesome. So many good boys and girls.
2. I could not be more jealous.

As a City fan, I am shocked that a lineup with Bernardo and Gundogan wasn't the answer tonight. Shocked.

Schumer appears to have completely failed.
That's better, no?
How he made leadership, let alone retained it, is astonishing.

That’s just not at all true.

Been too old, soft and slow all season. Not sure why that would be different today.

They don’t, and never have, cared about the constitution.
They care about power.

Resign for the good of the country.

We’ll never know. Ken Martin it is.

I don’t know about the next four years.
I know doing this *right now* makes a party that looks out of touch to a lot people, well, look even more out of touch.
Context matters and in the face of Elon’s intercession in government and the flood of poisonous EOs, now wasn’t the time, IMO

I agree, FWIW, that Ben’s the best choice.
And we are going to have to campaign through the horror, but maybe we should think about how we do that? Why not start now?
comment in response to

It’s not just the post.
It’s the contrast between that the post and what’s actually happening in Washington.
It gives a bit of “fiddling while Rome burns” vibes. For a group that’s been tone deaf, it seems like they’re almost reveling in it.

I’m mad at the whole machine. In the face of everything that’s going on, maybe expensive receptions, photo ops and the like aren’t what’s called for right now. Maybe not looking like the out of touch elite you’ve been might be a better play. My hope was Ben would be the one to get that.

Schumer was an example in a broader context.
The Chair of the DNC is a leader, not the leader, of the Democratic Party. Democratic leadership, including but not limited to Chuck Schumer and the chair of the DNC, aren’t doing enough and looked bad last night, whether partying or not.
Agree?

As am I.

The skeet to which I replied talked about the DNC vote, and seemed to try to shield those partying and gladhanding last night from criticism.
That’s why I was taking about Ben (whose work in WI was amazing, and I generally support)

“A” and “the” are different words with different meanings.
There is no “the” leader within Democrats (part of the problem we’re in), but it is laughable to think that the head of the fundraising arm of the party isn’t “a” leader.

He’s not a leader of the party? Really?
comment in response to

Running to the chair of the Democratic National Committee, in fact. Might even call him a “leader” of Democrats, no?
comment in response to

Yes, because it was only the messaging we were worried about.
Not, you know, Schumer cutting deals with the GOP and the failure to like, do anything.
Not the same crap that’s meekly allowed MAGA to take over.

I know.
And I still think it’s beyond tone deaf.
Big fan of the work Ben’s done in Wisconsin, but he’s missing the moment here.

What you — and the entire party — are doing tonight and over the last week has done so much harm to the “trust” of the people that support you I don’t see how we ever recover.

Not the time Ben.
You, and the entire party, are giving off really strong Nero vibes tonight.
Really disappointed in you.

A group with leadership like Chuck Schumer and Dick Durbin is conflict-adverse? NO! CAN'T BE!

It's their fault that they won't let another generation become leaders.

Thing is, the vast majority aren’t competent. Full stop.
And they’re still doing six games a week with five ranked teams.

I never, ever said there was no difference.
But it’s Democrats job in an election to win votes, to articulate their message in a persuasive, digestible way. We clearly didn’t. Want to survive this? Want to make sure it doesn’t happen again?
Admitting how we can be better is key

Suicide.
It’s got to be a plea from Pep to sign help in the MF.
He can’t actually think it’s our best option.

(1) They don't care. (2) If they did care, they, well, wouldn't be Republican Senators because they wouldn't have voted for Brett Kavanaugh, for example. Or supported Donald Trump.
This just seems like a tired angle that presumes a way of thinking that doesn't exist for that side of the aisle.

Running the same old, slow unathletic, ineffective midfield out there and expecting different results is insanity.
Good thing we’re buying … CBs?
comment in response to

When you refuse to refresh your old slow midfield, bad things happen.
The lack of athleticism and energy in the middle of the pitch is shocking, but also something we’ve seen from City all year.
And they don’t seem to be addressing it in the January window. Madness

Nader wouldn’t have mattered had someone run a competent campaign.
Instead, they got full of themselves trying to “expand the map.”

Out of all the people to defend who helped get us to this hellscape, stanning for Merrick Garland is one hell of a choice to make. Make it make sense, Tom.
