Lutkin's reasoning: his 94 year-old mother-in-law would take a missing SS check without worry. It'd be fixed soon enough. He's worth over $2 billion! She doesn't face the wolves at her door, she won't have to choose which flavor of cat food to eat, nor which pieces of furniture to burn for heat!

I have a notion of what's going on (not with my only surviving brother, but with the whole Trump phenomenon). I have a few short .pdf files I'd like to hear your feedback about. Can you send me a note to "wdhall at alum dot mit dot edu" (spelled out for security) for me to reply to?

Wikipedia, on the author of this poem Martin Niemöller: "Niemöller was a national conservative and initially a supporter of Adolf Hitler[4] and a self-identified antisemite." This revered poem came from one of Hitler's early supporters! Unfortunately, he spent 1938-45 in Sachsenhausen & Dachau.
