I'm writing Devil Dust, a lesbian fantasy-western about a princess fleeing an arranged marriage with help from a part-devil gunslinger. It's a pulpy genre mash-up that combines thoughtful queer moments and big splashy action in a fun, breezy serial format. www.patreon.com/posts/devil-...

Cebe Barnes is a very troubled young woman and should not be seen as a role model

And there's a new Patreon chapter up too! This one might answer some of those questions. Or it might not. You'll have to read it and let me know. www.patreon.com/posts/130897...

The center of the image is the main character. The long red metal bit is his head, his shirt is green, his pants are grey. The other red mechanical bit is a jetpack strapped to his back. He's holding a spray can. There's a masked character in white in the back. The records are part of his sleeve.

You are maybe the person whose opinions I respect most that are also the most utterly alien to my own tastes and experiences.

When they announced the renovations back in the early 2000s the 92-year-old former city planner who'd overseen the park's construction skateboarded across it in protest. He'd come to appreciate the skaters who embraced the park and turned it into a place that belonged to the people of Philadelphia.

I've been thinking a lot lately about LOVE Park and how the city tore it down and remade it into a space that isn't good for skating because they hated that it was an expressive and communal space for the wrong kinds of people.

Depending on how you feel about Guy and Cody you could argue Street Fighter's been doing guest characters for a very long time.

the problem is Ruff McGruff keeps looking for a rabbity thing to be his life partner because he has no original ideas and he's just trying to chase the superior dog he'll never match up to

I'm told it's a common plight for straight trans women

Actually they made a programming change. This year pride is only for straight trans women who mysteriously only ever date eggs.

Everybody I know who lives outside the US is endlessly annoyed about people bringing up US politics but listen as someone living in the states I have to say: oh dear god do I understand that feeling

On a personal level, I'm always a little disappointed if there isn't some variation of "melee fighter who trades raw might for some other kind of trick" to play in a system. I can be pulled towards other stuff occasionally but that is my bread and butter.

I think you can combine thief and assassin but their category is distinct from a warrior. There's overlap and you can draw the line differently (ie is a fencer a rogue or a warrior) but the niche of "combatant who isn't directly mighty but compensates with tricks of some kind" is important imo

So much trashy isekai and the style of litrpg that follows from it is that. Vertical video soap operas where the president tells your mean in-law you're a war hero and she'll be charged with sedition if she badmouths you. All of politics. Our hopes hollowed out and all we dream of is petty revenge.
