Yeahhhh that's the tricky bit...but there usually are some online specialty retailers that can help! Check your local hobby groups for some leads as well, like I found out about the site I use, Gundam Mad, through a friend already in the hobby ^^ Though it is specifically for the UK.

If not hobby stores, there are sometimes pop culture stores as well that carry kits and models; like I found a MG Sasabi Model that I was SO CLOSE to getting when I was on a trip exploring local nerdy shops. So just keep your eyes peeled when you're out and about :3

I'm glad you asked! Well I think it mostly depends on where you live, but in the UK there are dedicated Gunpla supplier sites that you can buy models but not have to pay the import cost to bring them from Japan. But now I'm starting to see hobby stores and the like carrying kits now!
