They made that movie right? It had a different name but it just came out in the last year or so? I didn't see it, obv.

These women were not by any accounts I can find “abused”. They felt uncomfortable. HUGE difference.
And the incentive is to not have to deal with him again and stop others too.
Basic human conscience. Is that so foreign?

I didn't say all women who allege sexual assault are lying. I said that at worst from the accusations I've read this guy is creepy.
And the women could have trivially stopped it but chose not to until now.

It doesn't prove they were lying. But at worst the guy is creepy.
No accusations of sexual assault at all. That's what I said in the first place.

No charges brought (much less court case or conviction) and no money changed hands to drop civil suit.

Trevor Bauer. One is being prosecuted. The other hid pictures of her smiling next to him in bed.

And even if this guy did do something worse and the person was legitimately scared for her safety (which I've seen nothing to suggest), why didn't the first person report it after he left and there was clearly no danger? All the subsequent harm (whatever that may actually be) was helped by that.

Who was “locked in a room” with this guy? I haven’t seen any accusations of that. Can you link a news story with that? I’m interested to read it.

So it IS known to happen. Curious which one you think was false. I’m thinking of the one where the chick beat herself up and then the photo came out of her smiling and fine.
And this was not “sexual assault” based on any accusation I’ve seen. It was “creepy dude”. There’s a HUGE difference.

Not the problem of all the people he hurt.

No. And neither were these people.
At worst this guy is creepy. If all the accusations I’ve read are true this guy is just a creeper who needs to be kicked out of these massage places. And all these women somehow failed to take basic steps.

This whole "women are equal to men" but also "women need to be protected by men" dichotomy is just weird.
Women are strong. They can stand up for themselves in uncomfortable situations. When they choose not to and then come out when there's the likelihood of a lawsuit, then that is relevant

People need to take some responsibility for their life. If someone looking at you means you can't make good decisions, you're going to have a tough life.
"knew could escalate into something worse" - there's no evidence of that.

They're not being "crucified by me" for money they're potentially coming out now about this guy for money. It's known to happen. When the timing is convenient for a payday, it means you have to consider it.

And then of course it wasn't reported which means more people felt uncomfortable.. until now when there's likely money in the accusations. It's always tough to figure out who is in it just for the money.

Shoot me a link. I’ll read it. But I did read a bit more and none of it was anything where it couldn’t have been stopped by him being asked to leave.

It's so bad. This all star game is just as atrocious as all the other ones but it's not even really basketball so it's worse.

It will be informative to learn what the most severe accusations are. Much more important than just a number.
comment in response to
post
Turns out “misconduct” varies drastically in severity. “He stared at creepily me while I massaged him” is apparently one of the complaints. You could just ask him to stop and if he doesn’t ask him to leave.
It’s still not cool, but take some responsibility for your life.

Words have multiple meanings - if you are using any valid meaning, the statement is correct. Fraud can mean things other than the legal definition.
Not saying it's right, just saying that it doesn't have to be wrong.

@arstechnica.com launders automotive gift money into ad money. They say they don't take money for reviews, but that's just playing word games. They are absolutely bought and paid for by car companies for positive reviews. Except Tesla who doesn't play that game and they get negative stories.
comment in response to
post
ars isn't exactly an unbiased source. They've been anti-tesla for a decade now.
Also, Tesla is the only automaker that doesn't pay for their reviews on ars technica with gifts.
Seriously go look at the other car articles they write - they all start by disclosing the gifts they took to write it

trump won the popular vote so while you're statement may be true, it's disingenuous by implying he didn't get more votes than anyone else this time around.

There is 100% evidence that the military helicopter caused the crash. Violated altitude restrictions and ATC instructions AND was outside the bank of the river he was supposed to be at.

I'm not saying he's right but this isn't actually a contradiction.
If you believe unqualified people were hired in the past, that can still have consequences even though you're (supposedly) ending the practice of hiring unqualified people.
