A conversation our kids will never understand:
"Mom - I got it, you can hang up the phone. No, you didn't hang it up yet, I can still hear the tv. No, you didn't hang it up yet. Mom! HANG UP THE PHONE!"

For true absolution of this transgression, watch both Clerks and Mallrats, say "whatever" 3 times, make sure you still remember the lyrics to at least one song by Green Day, Nirvana, Sheryl Crow, and can hum the chorus to the Crash Test Dummies's biggest hit.

Blocking Grandma on Bluesky is going to make Thanksgiving a little awkward.

Tunes that span music from Cuban dance halls to a flamenco tune or two to Puerto Rican rap and hip hop, there's a little of everything.
Check it out tomorrow from 6pm EST and listen to me butcher the pronunciation of countless Spanish words: Xennial Music on www.wapj.org or via TuneIn radio app!

Thanks so much for posting - I'm looking forward to watching this. I never have seen them play but have repeatedly heard that they're really terrific live. Like, a few friends have told me that they're top 5 favorite shows they've ever seen.

I'm pretty sure it was an Xennial who wrote the memo knowing fellow Xennials would ignore it & then we would laugh at every other generation who actually did it.

I remember how surprised I initially was to learn Kurt Cobain was a big Beatles fan. I may be crazy (or maybe it was always obvious to everyone but me), but after learning that, I could hear it in Nirvana's music.

I really liked Tidal but they jacked up the price for users to use a third party DJ app to play music. I use the app because it makes life easier for my radio program. I reached out to see if they offered some kind of nonprofit discount. They didn't so I moved to Apple.

I'm just copying from a reply I made to someone else in this thread, but FYI:
Jay Z sold a majority stake in Tidal to Jack Dorsey's Block, Inc. in 2021. He (along with several other artists) still owns a minority stake evidently, but he's no longer "the" owner.

Ouch. I don't want to even look for it for fear lf it somehow influencing the algorithm data Spotify has accumulated on me.

Anytime - by the way, I didn't think it was possible, but your new show has rekindled my interest in showtunes. Thank you!

I just wish I had a couple extra lives since, as far as I know, I can't just hit reset.

I'm not sure of the reference - I presume Reading Rainbow - but can hear it in LeVar's voice all the same.
