Also worth checking out the Grand Seiko SBGN003 - Rolex levels of quality with quartz so accurate it loses less time in a year than my Rolex gains in a day!

Congrats!! Such a versatile watch. From what I hear, the waitlists are actually pretty good for the Explorer models. So definitely don’t pay over retail for it. Enjoy!!

It works by constantly changing the angle of the balance wheel - so the force of gravity is averaged out… it works well in grandfather clocks, but pointless on a wrist which is also naturally in constant motion.
