Oh. So the whole MAGA trope that Biden wasn't really in control and the deep state actually was, is true? Murphy is trying to break bread with voters that will NEVER vote for Democrats. Plus, Biden did fine. Look at how our country was doing before 2025. So Murphy needs to shut up about this.

Yes. Funny how when we have a Democratic president the deficit goes down, but goes up during Republican presidents.

ALL white men DO benefit in society from the privilege of having the favored skin color. If a person feels targeted it might be good to look inward and give some thought as to why. The vast majority of white men are Trumpers. Food for thought.

You may be right that it's not a winning strategy, but for most of our history the Supreme Court and the courts and the positions of power were exclusively held by men who proclaimed that they always fairly balanced everyone's rights. Can't 9 women do the same? To fairly adjudicate?
comment in response to post
"Too far" means that the white man (and white women, as their primary beneficiaries) started to fear losing their privileged status in society. Even though there is still a long way to go before that happens.

My point is that the federal government coukd refuse to send him to Minnesota, he is released in Texas, and Texas refuses to extradite him to Minnesota. Trump and MAGA violate the Constitution every single day. Why not in this case?

Patel used the term "SS", which stands for Schutzstaffel" which was Hitler's personal paramilitary force. I'm sure Patel was referring to the Secret Service, but the Secret Service is turning into the SS nowadays.

Will MAGA Abbott comply with that agreement? They are all violating the Constitution and the law every single day. All they need to do is rile up their base to support an unlawful decision not to extradite and they will feel safe in doing so. They are starting that process right now.

What if Trump releases him into a red state and that state refuses to extradite him to Minnesota? That would be in violation of the Constitution and the law, but .... we all have seen what happens when the law gets in the way of what they want.
comment in response to post
Trump and MAGA do not obey the Constitution or the law. They could well release him into a red state and that state could unlawfully refuse to extradite him. Let's not get caught flat-footed.
comment in response to post
That will only happen if Trump and MAGA obey the Constitution and the law. They could release him into a red state that unlawfully refuses to extradite him to Minnesota. I actually think that's a good possibility.
comment in response to post
What if Trump releases Derek Chauvin in a red state and that state refuses to allow extradition? We already know that Trump and MAGA only obey the Constitution and the law when and if it suits them.
comment in response to post
Let's not get caught flatfooted if Trump releases Derek Chauvin in a red state and that state refuses to allow extradition to Minnesota. To do so would be a violation of the Constitution and the law but Trump and MAGA always obeys the law, right?
comment in response to post
We need to prepare for the possibility that Derek Chauvin is released in a red state that then refuses to allow his extradition. Won't happen because MAGA obeys the Constitution and the law, right? 😏
comment in response to post
If Trump releases Derek Chauvin in a red state, what if that state refuses to allow extradition to Minnesota? Yes, that would violate the Constitution and several laws, but as we well know MAGA only enforces the law when it suits them.
comment in response to post
But what if he is released in a red state that refuses to allow extradition to Minnesota? It would be a violation of the Constitution but... well, you know they don't obey it.
comment in response to post
What if Trump releases him in a red state and that state refuses to hand him over to Minnesota? Trump and MAGA do not obey the law. To think strategically against him you have to think like a lawbreaker.

I'm sad but it's very understandable and sensible, unfortunately. πŸ™

Ignore the geographical gaffe. She's just trying to find some reason, however illogical, to rename to Gulf of Mexico. Changing the name of the Gulf of Mexico does NOTHING to try and fix the sewage issue. So the sewage issue is a red herring. As usual.

Sounds great.... but that Trump might be suffering because he has no soul isn't comforting. He joyfully imposes suffering on millions while he goes to play golf and bullies others. That he is going to die soon, that day can't come soon enough and will not compensate all of those millions of people.

Scared? They're scared of losing power ....

Ultimately, it would be best if each individual could identify what is a lie and make choices in the context of freedom and liberty for each and every person. But those in power prefer that we are stuck in our own little universe, worried more about immediate personal satisfaction than what's right.

Sounds great. But how many police officers, or probably soldiers, are going to lay down their weapons instead of following orders to shoot? My guess is almost none. We are living in historical times and now we are learning that America's self image of being the light on the hill was always false.

I hate Musk, but let's be fair in that he hasn't lost any money, because Tesla's falling stock price hasn't changed his personal cash flow. Yet. If indeed he has taken out loans on the value of Tesla stock, he definitely will be hurt if the stock price falls below the loan amount. Then let's dance!
