We just need to keep pushing universal Healthcare and taking money out of politics. A lot will see the light. But, if we fail to meet the moment, we lose.

This is their literal only play. They realize that Musk has oukked the curtain back on the Republican grift, and it will cost them in the end. This is the drum that we need to beat on a daily basis. This and universal Healthcare.

I mean...

Don't worry. It'll happen naturally. Between the tarrifs and what will likely be a stock market crash, unemployment will soar, inflation will rise, and our country will suffer.

We want the same thing. I was coming at it from the angle of coming together instead of division. Your argument was that of the contrary. Glad to see you've come around, whether you'd like to admit it or not.

Oh, yes. I care so much more now that I've spent the last 30+ minutes of my life getting yelled at by someone who continues to try and malign me and put words in my mouth throughout the entire discussion.

Mandate?

Literally just using the words you used earlier in this thread. So, you look to be arguing for argument sake.

What you really need is to be added as a protected class to the constitution, which would require a 2/3 majority in both houses.

What policy would make you feel better?

Who said it's trading your rights? It's the single most popular issue in the ethos. And if single payer Healthcare became a thing, it would guarantee that you get the medical treatment you need. No one said that we couldn't walk and chew gum at the same time. It's not one or the other.

Advocatimg for human rights should cover your movement. Anything beyond that which is tailored to the trans movement is by definition niche. No one said expendable. You don't donyourself favors by putting words in my mouth. I didn't call you Russia agents, I said that it's their strategy.

In my opinion, we need to lean in hard on Single-payer Healthcare. This should be front and center for the next 4 years. I've messaged every Representative and Senator that I can with this. Luigi Mangione has revealed a bridge between Dems and Repubs. This needs to be opened up.

My way of helping is trying to hold a party together from trying to rip itself apart from sensationalists who seem to think that protesting to the point of absentia is a viable strategy. It's not. We all need each other.

You clearly don't understand my point.

You're twisting my words to malign me again. This may come as a surprise, but not everyone can relate with a trans person. This is what I mean. You're clearly just set on being argumentative instead of conversing. I'm exhausted all over again. I'm on your side. Stop making me your enemy.

Exactly... find allies. Don't threaten torpedoing the only party that can provide any of us the political power needed to win elections. Dividing the party is a strategy of Russia. They would be advocating for burning the Dem party to the ground. Not someone who needs them to platform their voice.

It's not that they are weighing turning on your rights. It's just not something they are going to campaign on. Very different. National politics should be focusing on macro issues, not niche ones. And if Dems start to campaign against trans issues, then they should absolutely be primaried.
comment in response to post
You are so self-defeating. All I'm advocating for is not splitting the dem party up further because we will do nothing but lose elections that way. Your best chances at getting whatever legislation you deem fit for your movement has its best chance under Dem control. Certainly not Rep control.

The dems in office fighting against those bills is a response.

I interact with trans people on a weekly basis. You know what happens? Nothing. We both treat each other like people and move on. Who said anything about public bathrooms. Stop aligning people for things they haven't said. Lighting yourself on fire and blaming it on me doesn't do you any good.
comment in response to post
I didn't say that. I just said that we were all beaten to death by it. It was the #1 issue that Elon spent money on in the campaign. No one is asking for you to disappear. Just stop making a scene when you're not the focus of a campaign. I'm for equal rights for all. Stop aligning me for that.
comment in response to post
Who said that? Not me. Just because you're not the center of attention doesn't mean that we don't care about your rights as a person.
comment in response to post
I'm sorry, but whether you believe it or not, trans people are the actual fringe of our population. 1% of the US population dominated and exhausted everyone by the time we got to the election. Actual equal representation would mean that we barely see a trans person, yet this isn't the case generally
comment in response to post
No offense, but trans rights should never really be front and center. We're talking about 1% of the US population. But just because it isn't a main pillar of a campaign doesn't mean that trans rights shouldn't be protected. And if the anti-trans candidates lost, then this makes sense for the party.

Talk about self-defeating.

Kamala took plenty of lumps for the trans community during the campaign. And now, those very same people that voiced off against her because of "the genocide" are the very same people currently protesting, begging the Biden administration to help them before Trump takes office.

Huh?

Typing in all caps certainly makes your argument look incredibly measured as well.
