I’m beginning to think staying off Facebook and instagram forever may not be the most practical or realistic for me but I have enjoyed the break. I’m too disconnected from my local communities and I haven’t found a way to bridge that gap, unfortunately.

I removed TikTok, Pinterest, and even hid LinkedIn because I found myself autopiloting to anything that could fill my doomscroll needs since getting off Meta. I’m basically down to this and Substack and honestly loving the difference it has made for me.

Well… I deactivated my Facebook and Instagram. I’m not committed enough to delete them yet…but maybe soon? Big girl steps as I walk away from some of the doom scrolling? And replace it with other platforms like Bluesky and Substack? Does this count as a step forward?

Received a letter from POTUS today purporting to remove me as Commissioner and Chair of the FEC. There's a legal way to replace FEC commissioners-this isn't it. I've been so fortunate to serve the American people and stir up some good trouble along the way. That's not changing anytime soon.
