For some countries, that might be a lot, yeah. For me, the issue wasn't about the price - like I mentioned, I paid for the subscription for several months straight but somehow never actually used the service.

Now I'm video calling with an acquaintance and working essentially with the same rules as FocusMate - webcam, muted mics, 50-minute sessions.
Hence the question - does subbing for FM make sense, or should I just find a few people to work with like this?

It used to cost $5. I paid for several months and never used it once. Then the price went up. I paid again for several months, again without using it.

It's probably ADHD though.
But in all seriousness, I follow the 'do little and often' rule. Do something, even if it's just 5 minutes. If something is really urgent, it will pop up before you anyway.

It's easy. You hyperfocus on one of them until any other project starts to fire and burn you enough that you can't ignore it anymore. And then you hyperfocus on this project in flames.

Oh, and about the slow loading – try adding Google's Public DNS. Everything opens up instantly for me with it. That might help.
